Changed my mind about staying in a moderate and am now looking into the SSR, BC and WL. I am aware the WL is closer to Magic Kingdom but I like the looks of the SSR and BC. Having never visited any, I really need some help. My DH, DS (5) and DDs (2 and 7) and myself will be visiting in February. Any information regarding these would be a great help.

It is really just a matter of personal taste and what you are looking for? Do you want to be close to DTD stay at SSR. If you want to be close to Epcot I believe (not sure) that BCV is fairly close. And, as you stated WL is closer to the MK. I myself have only stayed at SSR of the 3 choices you have listed and LOVED  it. We had a 2 bdrm with a view of DTD we could walk there in 5 mins. Whatever you decide....enjoy!

If you are looking at any of these resorts you may want to look into renting points from a DVC member for your stay it will give you a discount on the room of about 45% or so. Look at rack rate for a 1 or 2 bedroom at the villas for your family of 5 and then ask a DVC member you can get points for about 12.00 US per point.

I second SSR, although it is not as convenient to Epcot or Boardwalk, but the bus service is great. Also it is fun being by DTD and you can take the boat down the river

I would def stay at BC. it is in walking distance to Epcot and MGM. also you can walk right through Epcot to get to the monorail to the TTC, then off the MK. Anyway..it has a huge pool and it really nice...however all disney resorts are nice...but that is my choice!

This is so helpful. Thank you. However, now I am torn between the 2. I am leaning towards the BC now. But, is there anything else I need to know.

You should check out the DVC threads on the DIS. There are sections for questions and renting points. Just scroll down the boards.

Any of them would be wonderful, but in your situation I think I'd go with BC if your kids like to go to the pool. Stormalong Bay (the pool there) is large, beautiful, and extremely popular.

The location of BC is hard to beat too. You're within walking distance of two of the parks (though MGM is a little farther to walk), plus right by the Boardwalk where there's always a lot going on.

Let us know what you decide. Good luck! :sunny:

I think we have decide on the BC however now the big debate is studio or 1 bedroom. I would ideally like to go with the 1 bedroom but to save money I am thinking studio. We won't have a car so I wouldn't be able to go to the grocery store and take advantage of the kitchen in the 1 bedroom, unless anyone has any suggestions.

You can actually have groceries delivered to you...this would actually save you money by not having to eat every meal out. We usually eat only one meal a day out, the rest of the time we eat in the room, a REAL money saver. Good luck!

Wow, nice feature. How would I go about getting the groceries delivered? It is about $1500 more for the one bedroom than the studio. Do you think it is worth it. It is so expensive to eat at disney and with 3 little kids it might be worth getting groceries delivered since they are always hungry.

It is worth it but you should seriously look at renting points for the stay in eht 1 bedroom it will save you money.

I second ChalesTD's vote...go to the rent/trade board and rent....you will save "OH, SO MUCH MONEY!!!" and you can use your savings to go toward the cost of the food. As for the grocery delivery...I can't remember any names right now...go to the Budget board they know!
