SSR Use Year?

My brother is considering buying into DVC at SSR. (I think he figures I may not continue to provide free stays forever and he has two little kids!)

We discussed it last night and I seemed to recall that if you had some use years you would not get any points come January. Hopefully I am having jet lag fits caused by my 10 hour flight from Istanbul! He actually wants to see if he can get a June use year (there may be an eventual sale from me to him with some points on that use year which is why we are looking at that!) Any issues with a June use year at SSR?

All Use Years are available at SSR. No one can get points earlier than December, 2003. No one can use their SSR points prior to May 1, 2004 (or resort opening).

If you buy with a June Use Year, you will get your first points on June 1, 2004. If you are already a member and have a September Use Year (or any other except December) you will get your first SSR points on September 1, 2004 ( or the 1st day of your Use Year). SSR points may be borrowed for use , subject to normal borrowing rules.

Make sure your brother indicates that you have referred him (especially if you live in a state where referral bonuses are allowed) or go ahead and contact your guide with the referral of your brother.

I think what had confused me was my March use year which I will not be adding on with (since the resort won't open I figured that year would not get points until 3/05!)

Don't worry he knows to tell them who referred him.
