just a brief overview :

Was down thanksgiving week at SSR, and had a wonderful time.
Not as crowed as I expected, unless we just happened to be in the right park on the right day. With the correct use of fastpasses it was no problem.

Did online check In and the CM at the desk was great, arrived about 10:30-11:00 am and had our room in about 15 minutes.

Headed straight to the MK and was amazed by the Christmas decorations,
saw the castle lighting and the kids loved it,we have never been when the Christmas decorations were up.

The whole family loved and was amazed at the Osbourne lights, couldn't egt my DW to stop taking videos :dance3:

Had Thanksgiving dinner at the Liberty Tree and it was excellent.

Have one issue with SSR though, the Artist Pallet.

They have got to get better or should I say normal food choices,
not everyone likes the fancy smancy foods they serve.

Brie this, wrap that, flat bread wheat pizza..yuck

Let gets some burgers, fries, meat cutting boards something better than this stuff.

We stayed at Saratoga last year and I have to agree the food options are lacking. Plus everything closes so early. On our first day we arrived late and wanted some food just after 10 and nothing was open. I don't expect 24 hour service, but there should be options open until at least eleven or midnight. The room was fine and the location was very close to Downtown Disney, but that is about it. In terms of amenities any of the other DVC resorts are much better options.

This is exactly why the Paddock Pool food location was added to SSR in July. There you will find all of the typical Burgers, Fries, hotdogs, and all of the other run of the mill fast food items. It is just across the bridge from Artists Palette.

I agree....we get bored of it after two visits.
