SSR Trip Report

I just got back from a week long vaca at my HOME ..SSR (1/11 - 1/17)

It was WONDERFUL. We stayed in a 1 bedroom in Congress Park. We walked every day to Downtown Disney to get food and buses.

The Park buses came to the depot outside of our bldg very regularly...I did not find myself waiting hours on end.

The walk to the Carriage House was 5mins tops (I did not have kids with me)

The main pool is wonderful and heated. The quiet pools are great but not heated.

Service was incredible. My room key was demagnatized, and a CM came right down to let me in and give me a new key.

The food at the Artiste Pallatte was great. The best Chix Ceaser anywhere.

I can not find one thing negative to say about my stay. From the great room (we overlooked the water and Pleasure Island) to the great service to the great grounds and location, it was my most favorite trip to Disney to date.

I love my HOME!!!!

So glad to hear you had a great trip. We have a 1 bed booked at SSR next month. We really enjoyed our first trip there in Sept 04 and are looking forward to going back very much.

I am so happy to hear your report. My husband and I just bought into SSR this past October, and we are heading down during April vacation. I am always excited to go to WDW, but I am even more excited this year since we will be making our first trip "home" to SSR. I am really looking forward to walking the grounds and just knowing that I now own a little piece of Disney magic. Your report is getting me even more anxious for my trip to come! Thank you!!!!!!

Thank you for your trip report. OKW owner making first trip to SS next week. At first, I didn't think I wanted to stay at SS. I have stayed at all DVC resorts except VWL and SS. I enjoy dining at other resorts and don't rent a car so I think the access to DTD and the direct bus service to resorts will be a plus for me. I'm looking forward to staying at SS!

I forgot..I had 2 treatments at the Spa..the Mystical Forest massage and the HydroMassage.

Pure heaven. I highly recommend the Hydro to anyone..very relaxing and great.

What is a HydroMassage exactly? Sounds relaxing just from the name! I'd love to hear more about it.
