Hi, all.
I got back Friday night from a four-night stay at SSR, my home resort. As usual, had a great stay. Invited my bro and s-in-l to come with to celebrate my birthday (my second annual brithday celebration at WDW). I asked for Congress Park first floor and got it.

We went to all the parks, did MVMCP and the member mixer (both were outstanding and the special pin and ornament at the mixer were really nice). On my b-day, went to Epcot where the wait staff at Chefs du France sang happy birthday in French (ohh-la-la). Among the many notable events was an early b-day celebration at Fifties PrimeTime Diner. The guy sitting next to us was mortified to be singled out on his birthday. I told our waiter I'd be just the opposite on my big day. He asked when that was and I told him. A few minutes later, out he pops with a cupcake and birthday card for me. He had everyone around us sing happy birthday. It was great. Two days early, but great.

The weather was perfect and the parks weren't too crowded.

Best of all, the magic was so strong my skeptical brother and s-in-l took the DVC tour and now probably will join the ranks of homeowners. They want AKV.

I wondered when I joined how long I'd be happy coming to SSR. So far the magic hasn't failed me. Joining DVC was and is one of the best decisions I ever made. I love going home and can't wait to plan the next trip.

Thanks for the report. Good to hear the magic :wizard: is still strong!!!

Glad to hear you had a great time! While I own at BCV, I have to admit I love SSR. Do they do much to the resort for the holidays? SSR wasn't there last time I did the resort holiday tour.

I love going home and can't wait to plan the next trip.

"What??:scared1: Don't you know you are suppose to be planning your next trip as soon as you return? You got back on Friday, it's Monday, the next trip should be all but booked by now. ;) :lmao:

The lobby's all prettied up for Christmas. It's not as spectacular as Boardwalk and the others w/ the big gingerbread buidlings, but it's pretty.:santa:

I'm so sorry I failed to read that rule. I've failed the DVC miserably. Please don't take away my member priveleges. I promise to do better. ;)

LOL. Great trip report, thanks for sharing! We're planning now for SSR next December so I'm glad to hear about it.

Hi Mokat:wave2:

Happy to hear you're still lovin' your DVC!:thumbsup2

In case you don't remember me: This is the (still) very grateful Dis'er to whom you graciously sent your Giclee when my guide couldn't deliver!:hippie:

Still love my giclee and I'm glad to hear you got some pixiedust: on your birthday!!!

Thanks again and I wish many more happy trips for you!

We'll be at SSR in 17 days and I can't wait!!!!

We are a forgiving bunch but as my profile states: Vacations are getaways from vacation planning. When you are not on vacation, you are to be planning. I know you have learned your lesson so be sure that Caskbill's DVC planner automatically pops-up when your turn on your computer! Glad you enjoyed your trip and Happy Planning!
