Hi all.. We will be staying at Saratoga in November.. Does anyone know if we can get a bus from the resort directly to the Racetrack.. Just booked the Richard Petty Driving for my husband.. Any idea on how long it might take too?

Also, has anyone stayed here yet with small children.. Do you know if the cribs are really cribs and not pack n plays and do they have high chairs??

thanks for all the help..

Dana :)

Hmmm...I've never been to the Driving Experience. I can't think of where you could catch a bus...though I'm far from an expert. Is it located near a resort? Might have to take a cab.

Oh...I just found this on a trip report:

we hopped on the monorail for a quick ride over to the TTC. From there the Petty van (which was waiting there) took us directly to the track. (Actually you can drive there yourself, there's no fee to park at the track either for those taking part in the activities or just watching.)

FWIW...Buses from SSR only go to the parks, waterparks and DTD.

The cribs in the rooms are pack & plays. You can request a full sized crib, but it's not guaranteed. They do have wooden, restaurant style high chairs in the rooms.

I'd call the place that runs the Driving Experience and see what they have to say. Disney will pay for a cab for anyone wishing to golf on-property--I can't believe they wouldn't do the same thing for people paying hundreds for the "Experience."

Or, perhaps the van mentioned in kweaver's post would be able to get you at the resort. From that trip report, it sounds like the participant might have been staying at a monorail resort. If they have a van, I hope they would drive further to get someone if necessary. It's not like you're asking for a ride from the airport. ;)

Actually, the RP Driving experience report didn't say where they stayed. I think they were just trying to get to the TTC to meet the van there. Sorry, I should have quoted the whole paragraph (see below). When I went back to read it again, I realized the report was from 1997! :D Needless to say, things have probably changed since then.

"We headed out to breakfast at the Trail's End Buffet (wonderful and inexpensive) in Fort Wilderness and then back (by boat) to the MK where we hopped on the monorail for a quick ride over to the TTC. From there the Petty van (which was waiting there) took us directly to the track. (Actually you can drive there yourself, there's no fee to park at the track either for those taking part in the activities or just watching.) "

Definitely worth a call to find out how to handle transportation within WDW. Good luck!

thanks again..
