August 21, 2012 offer accepted

More details to come once contract signed, what a great birthday present to myself and (of course) my family! Wife didn't have a clue but she is excited too!

Congrats to you and your family!! Wish my husband would have suprised me with a DVC memebership. Had to beg for my first and then spend the next year making him realize what a great value before he agreed to let me get another Sounds like your patience has paid off and you have landed a great deal Enjoy!!

My husband and I just got accepted as well at SSR on Aug 21st. We are not waititng for our contract to sign and send back. I hope it comes soon. I hate the waiting game. I know it said about 10 days we should have the contract to sign. Is it really that long or does it come faster?

Congrats! We just made a bid on SSR which was accepted too. Our contract was emailed in 24 hours. We signed, faxed it back and the contract was sent to ROFR Tuesday.

Hope we get through no problem!!
Think we got a good (not great) deal but the Apr UY important to us, Mrs. havertown is a school teacher and we need to take summer vacations, with Dec/Jan as a last resort

We were told that we passed the ROFR on Aug 21st. So now we are waiting for the paperwork to sign and send back with a check. We got the email saying that we passed the ROFR and in 10 days we will get the paperwork to sign and send back with a check. I dont understand why it would take 10 days to get the paperwork. Don't they just email it to us, we sign is and overnight it back? Or are they sending us the paperwork snailmail?

We were told that we passed the ROFR on Aug 21st. So now we are waiting for the paperwork to sign and send back with a check. We got the email saying that we passed the ROFR and in 10 days we will get the paperwork to sign and send back with a check. I dont understand why it would take 10 days to get the paperwork. The reason it could take 10 days is because the title company must get the estoppels from Disney before drawing up the closing docs. If you want your closing docs emailed to you, let you title agent know.

Thank you so much for the help. We have a reservation for Dec 7-15th that we made before we got interested in DVC. I wish we looking into this before. We are hoping that we get everything completed soon with the final paperwork, so that we can see if there is rooms available anywhere in hopes to use it. If not we are going to have to keep our other reservation. I tried to call and becuase we are not members yet they wouldn't help me, I understand. I just wish I could know if there is rooms available or not. If there is not rooms I wouldn't have to worry or care how long the finishing process would take.

Sounds like a great deal! We are in the same boat - waiting for ROFR on 150 pts. thru the TSS as we speak. Our 4th contract. Good luck!
