SSR Spa Question

We are owners at SSR and going over in May this year!!!! Hurrah. Can't wait!!!
We haven't tried and Spa yet.
Can anyone make any comments on the Spa and any recommendations for treatments? Do we get as DVC members?

I really enjoyed the spa at SSR when we went. I would make sure you take your swim suit as you can use the hot tub and other facilities once you have had your massages. I had a back massage (can't remember the name of it!) and it was really good. We are going to book treatments there again on our next trip (it was the best way to spend Christmas day ever, whilst my friend and I were at the spa our husbands were back at the Beach Club Villas cooking Christmas dinner!!) I can't remember if we got any discounts or anything special for being DVC members.

We love the Spa and are planning a trip there next month. So far we have had the couples massage, I have had the stone massage and DH has had the swedish massage, all were very good

I'm pretty sure there are discounts for DVC members, check the website.

It's very nicely set up with a whirlpool, sauna and steamroom. Lockers, showers etc. I haven't had any treatments though, so I can't help you there.

Oh my the spa is wonderful! Me and Dbf got back from a park one day and our feet were killing so i called up reception got SSR number and booked a 50 min foot massage for both of us to go in the next hour was great!

We were in the same room with this relaxing music & candles and havin our feet massaged for 50 mins it was heaven i fell asleep LOL!

When the girls in our group were looking to book some treatments ahead of our August, 2007 trip, I spent quite a bit of time searching for photos of both without much success. Those I was able to find hinted of functionality rather than luxury, which is what I look for in a spa. We ended up booking at the Mandara Spa at the Dolphin which has a Balinese theme and I liked it enough to return in January last year.

This past November, during our third stay at SSR, I finally got around to taking a look around the spa. As I suspected, it was way too utilitarian for my tastes. I had intended to take some photos, but all the treatment rooms and communal areas were in use, so I just got one of the reception area.

I would love to try one of the spa's on our next trip - I think I may book one as a suprise for my DF - how easy is it to get to the spas from the other hotels?

Be aware that the 10% is only off selected treatents not everything is included.
