I need some help...

My husband and I are staying at the SSR in August. This will be our first visit in the summer. I know that it rains EVERY day and what I would like to know is, does it usually rain mid afternoon? We would like to plan a spa day and me being a crazy planner, would like to plan it when it "usually" rains. This has got to be the oddest question I have ever asked. I think I really need some help!!!

Hey, thanks pmcpmc!

I just called the spa to schedule my massage at 3:48, a.k.a., the rainy time, and they told me I should really wait until 4:02. To bad for me my husband has me scheduled for the looney bin for asking such a dumb question.;)

Guess I'll just have to get my massage while the sun is out.

Actually, late afternoon thundershowers are very common in Florida now that we're basically done with the drought. On many (not all, of course) summer days you will notice scattered showers somewhere between 4 and 6pm. They are usually over fairly quickly.

This was also the summer weather pattern in Atlanta until the drought. The showers seem to be coming back...which is a relief (except for the "dollar spot" and mushrooms on my lawn from the afternoon watering!).

I was planning to schedule my spa time around 4pm (basically so I could get back from the park, get showered and cleaned up before my appt)...but I didn't get a chance to go to the Spa this trip.

Good luck!
