SSR - requesting dedicated 2BR vs. lockoff?

So in reserving a 2BR at Saratoga, is it possible to reserve up front a dedicated 2BR, or is this another case of just putting a request in and hoping we get it or they can make it happen at check-in?

It's reserved upfront, not a request.

Plus they usually try to reserve dedicated for people requesting a two bedroom so that they still have the studio and one bedroom of a lock off for those requests.

We normally stay in two bedroom units and the CMs have always told me at the time of booking whether the unit was a dedicated or lock off 2 bedroom.

Check you confirmation it will say on it if its a dedicated two bedroom.
That's what we had last time, it was nice having two queen beds in the second bedroom instead of the sofa bed.
