First chance to get on pc since we got back. First time using DVC points and was pleased overall with SSR. We got to SSR arouond 11am and there were no 1 Bedrooms ready. Found CM's to be friendly and attentive. We were "Wecome Homed" to death. We stored our luggage and must say that Ray, who handled our bags was the most friendly and enthusiastic CM we have ever encounterd. Check-in took 5 mins, no problem got a DD view Room 1141, last building. Finally got in room around 3:30pm. It was my 5yo twin girls birthday, they sent up autograph of Ariel and Cindy along with 5 balloons for them, needless to say, they were thrilled. Loved the pool, warm water, cool slide, roomy hot tubs. Sent my wife to Spa for massage and facial, best she has ever had, a little pricey but worth every penny.
Room was nice, seemed much smaller then the 1 bedroom we had at BWV. Great view, quiet and clean. Sofa bed is the best ever !! Its not your mother's sofa bed, very comfy. Didn't care too much for the distance from room to main building and pool and Artist's Palette seems like a waste of space with their limited menu.
Highlights of our trip was MVMCP. Great night, wonderful character interaction, they were everywhere, walk on rides, hot choc and cookies a great treat. Crystal Palace breakfast was great and Chef Mickey's for dinner was also awesome. Great food and character's very attentive to the kids.
Lowlights, Sat at MK. they were filming the parade and the place was a zoo. I think between Main Street being closed for filming and single day visitors was crazy. We had character breakfast and then left, too crowded for us with two 5yo's.
Rest of week was great. Not too crowded. Longest wait was 15mins for any ride. Great weather and met lots of friendly people. Thanks
