We requested to stay at the Grandstand area of SSR. To get to DTD from Grandstand would it be best to get on any bus that stops at Grandstand bus stop, get off at Congress park and then take the walkway to DTD? Also, when you take the walkway at what area of DTD do you end up at? Is it anywhere near the bus stops?

I'm not sure of the order of the bus stops at SSR, someone will know for sure.
But I do know that the walking pathway will put you at DTD right at the bus stop. You will walk pass the Art of Disney store and the Christmas store as you enter DTD. If you kept walking pass the bus stop you could enter at the Once Upon a Toy store.

You could do that, or you could just wait for the DTD bus. Since the DTD bus runs every 20 minutes, and the walk from Congress Park is about 10 minutes, statistically either option would be faster than the other 50% of the time.

It's just a 5-10 minute walk from the Grandstand area to the boat dock behind the Carriage House, so you could also walk to there and take the boat across the lake. The boat drops you off at PI at DTD.

Is it anywhere near the bus stops?

The walkway enters DTD at the Marketplace bus area.

Disney buses also stop at PI in front of Planet Hollywood.

The Lynx bus stops are at the end of the West Side, behind Cirque.
