I am trying to decide on a location for an upcoming trip. We have already been to Disney since they re-opened (we were so lucky our reservation fell on the 2nd day of reopening last summer)! So, I know not to expect the same experience as when everything is open, and I'm ok with that. But I'm just trying to figure out which of the resorts mentioned (SSR, Poly, BRV, Bay Lake) would be the most "normal" in terms of amenities - QS food, gift shops, pools, etc.

Right now I'm booked at the Poly which I love, but I was there during construction about 6-7 years ago and we had view of a fenced off construction area. We still had a great vacation, but since we are taking a friend who has never been to Disney before, it would be nice if we could pick a resort that was closest to normal operation. I'd love to keep the poly because the room layout is great, but I'm a little nervous about how the current construction will impact the magic.

So, which one of these would you pick at this time and why? And has anyone recently stayed at these resorts who can provide details of their experience. (Added note - we've stayed at all of them in the past, but only BWV since re-opening and that's not available on our dates :( )

Thanks!

BRV is going to be pretty normal. SSR, aside from buildings closed for refurb is also pretty normal. BLT is okay, but no TOTWL.

I would choose any of them before the Poly right now.

Does anyone know if ALL preferred studios at SSR are renovated?
Yes, they have also finished 3 buildings in the Paddock as well, almost done the 4th. The 5th is under construction and 1 building in the Carousel is under construction

We stayed at SSR during our last trip and we found that Artists Palette was one of the best quick serves that we at at all trip.

Of the places you listed, the one that is most different from "normal" is the Poly.

I’d do BRV. Great restaurant selection with CCV and Ft wilderness. Quick and easy boat trip to MK. We did CCV early Dec and had no complaints. The only issue we had is coming home and putting an offer in to add on for CCV. But that’s a good problem to have I guess. Haha

BLT for the walk to MK or BRV but has the requirement of the boat which can fill up since they have distancing requirements.

Would never do SSR by choice.

I would be okay with POLY even with construction over SSR.

I would honestly keep checking and BWV will likely open up.
