SSR one bedrooms - for New years almost gone???!!!

My guide told me this a.m. that the one bedrooms for the New Years week are getting low in availability. He said they had only about 100 left for that time period.

This is surprising to me as I have read that SSR is so big it is likely to take the overflow if other resorts are sold out. Does that mean that likely the other DVC resort one bedrooms for that time period are sold out or close to it???

SSR has been selling well and has quite a few owners. NYE is one of the biggest nights at WDW. Right now, someone who owns at SSR can only book at their home resort. If you know chances are good you want to be at WDW for NYE it's generally smart to book something as soon as you've made that decision. It's entirely possible what your guide tells you is true. My guess is that some of the resorts may be even closer to sell-out than that. Of course, between now and the actual date people's plans may change or they'll switch resorts and rooms will be available from time to time.

Don't stress...as PamOKW said...only SSR owners can book at SSR for NYE right now. I imagine quite a few of those bookings will try to switch at the 7 month window (there is always a lot of switching going on then). And, in the big picture...100 1-bedrooms is a LOT of rooms...VWL only has 137 rooms at the whole resort, BCV 208.

I think you are fine if you are trying to book there.

And remember... SSR may turn out to be a popular place on NYE, being so close to DTD.

IMHO, 100 one bedrooms still avaliable for NYE is a LOT of availability. BCV & VWL don't even have that many to begin with!
