SSR "Market?"

I was doing a little homework on Artist's Pallette, but I was hoping some of you who have been there might be able to provide a better description. Is it more of a food court type place? More like a market? Somewhere in the middle?

I ask because DH and I will be staying there for a few days. Normally we stay with the kids in a one or two bedroom, and we order groceries from garden grocer. Since it will be just us this time, staying in a studio, ordering from GG doesn't make much sense. But I would still like to stock up on things like water jugs, some fresh fruit, coffee creamer, etc. We won't have a car, so we're limited to places we can get to on foot. I was hoping SSR had a market type place, sort of like the one at OKW or BW.

Anyone able to shed some light?

Yes, in the main building there is an area to purchase various sundries.

You should have no problem getting those things there. There is a large area of refrigerated items, an aisle for snacks and packaged goods and an area for misc things like stuffed toys, souvenirs etc. The food is set up like a deli with a counter for special orders,

You're going to love Saratoga Springs. We stayed there in December and instantly fell in love.

The market area is set up that same as most of the DVC resorts with the same type of items available. The area can get very busy and the register lines very long during peak times.

Enjoy SSR. It is our home resort, and we are not picky, but we just feel comfortable there!

Definitely not a food court. More like an upscale counter service with limited selections. Plus a refrigerated case where you can purchase individual servings of cake, sandwiches, soup, lunch meat, cheese, etc. Plus beverages. Also canned goods, cereal, bread, detergent.

All the items you mentioned can be bought there. The previous poster is right in that it is more of an upscale counter service with a grocery area. The food is very good, so good that during our BWV trip next week, our entire party plans to go to SSR to eat at Artist Palette. My parents are addicted to the the beef & blue sandwich!
