Does anyone happen to have a link to a map of SSR that you are given at check-in?

I am going to be staying in a 2-bedroom villa w/my mother who is visually impaired, so I would like to take a look at a map so that I can request a villa as close to the front lobby as possible.

Thanks in advance for your help! :)

Here you go:

Through the end of the year, the only buildings open are Congress Park, which are all about the same distance from the Carriage House.

Thank You!!

Is it true that you can drive your vehicle right up to the buildings though?

You sure can. There is a lot right outside of the Carriage House (registration), and then each individual guest building has its own parking.

If you look at the map, the streets and parking lots are in gray.

Have fun, and don't forget to tell us about your trip when you return.

lol...well I'm not going until May - but will do upon my return regardless!

So then - is the High Rock Spring pool the only one that SSR has as of now??

No, there is also a "Leisure Pool" in Congress Park. Look right between the numbers 4 and 20 on the map. It has a wonderful view of Downtown Disney.

EDIT: Actually, look for the little swimmer icon. I didn't initially realize there were multiple places with the same numbering. The Congress Park pool is toward the far right of the map, and you'll also see another at the very top of the map in the area called "The Paddock."

Since you're not going until May, you should find the buildings in The Springs open by that time. For convenience sake, that may be the area to request. Although Congress Park does have a fabulous view of Downtown Disney.

Ahh...yeah - I see the 'swimmer icon', I didn't realize that was another pool in Congress Park.

I think your right - for convenience sake, The Springs looks like the area to request. In fact, I think that this section will become SSR's 'handicapped' buildings.

I think The Springs will also be very popular with families or anyone who has a desire to be near the main pool. Congress Park will be popular for the DD view.

The Paddock will be nice, but without either discernable advantage, probably always be the "Second Class" portion of the resort.

Personally, I really hope DVC considers the ability to allow members to reserve a specific "neighborhood" at the time of booking. As an owner at SSR, it would be nice to be able to guarantee one of those areas at the 11-month window.

That is a very nice map, with lots of details that I can't find anywhere else. Where did you get that map? Do you have a link to it? I'm trying to get a clearer copy that I can print out before my trip at the end of this month. So far, you have the best map that I've seen anywhere!
Thanks!!!

I'll bet your guide or a CM from SSR would send you one ahead of time if you call.

Thanks Barry! That's pretty cool looking. Your pictures look very smooth. (for lack of a better word.) :)
Thank you!
