SSR - Major Changes to points - Standard / Preferred Categories

You're right. I didn't even think about that. 100% didn't even think about Easter. I jumped the gun on that woah stuff... Thanks for correcting me. And now that I do the math for other weeks that we stay, you're right. It's cheaper those weeks.

Woah... Woah woah woah... Our trip this year 315 points. Now it's going up 81 points? What? This is flat out lunacy, and to be honest, kills a large part of the DVC savings.
You have overlooked the fact that your travel dates in 2017 will fall during the Easter Holiday period, which places your travel dates in the more expensive Premier Season. In 2017, Easter is April 16, 2017, so the surrounding dates are in the Premier Season in 2017. In 2016, April 16, 2016, is in the cheaper Magic Season.

If Easter in 2016 was the exact same date as in 2017, you would have had to pay 417 points -- not 315 points -- to travel during that time.

If you have the flexibility, I suggest you change the dates of your 2017 trip so that you miss the Easter Holiday period. The 2016 point shows an SSR two-bedroom villa during the Magic Season will cost 315 points. In 2017, a two-bedroom villa in the Magic Season will cost either 294 points for Standard or 344 points for Preferred. If you are willing to stay in the Grandstand, Carousel, or Paddock sections, you can save 21 points over the 2016 rate. If you want to stay in the Congress Park or Springs sections, beginning in 2017 it will cost you an additional 29 points, not 81 points.
