They held ours overnight because our flight got cancelled and we lost a travel day. So yes, we had no trouble with grocery delivery, and they refrigerated the stuff that needed it. Excellent service.

Yes they will for a $6 charge applied to your room.

We are planning a first time visit to SSR in March 2025. While we are Disney Veterans we have never stayed at SSR.
My questions may have been answered on the previous pages in this thread, so I apologize in advance if they are repeated.

I saw some posts where people say they requested a villa in the Grandstand area, or Congress Park. However, I was under the impression that you cannot request a specific area, only something like "near the pool" or "near the bus stop", etc.
Does a room request depend on if you are booking directly with Disney or using DVC points?

Ideally we would like either The Springs, The Paddock or The Grandstand locations. Of those 3, only The Springs is a Preferred location. Both The Springs and The Paddock have the pools with the slides.

Not sure what is the best way to request where I would like to be. Any suggestions appreciated!

We will be heading to SSR in March as well. I am assuming you meant 2026.

I don't know about making any specific requests outside of what is available in the Check-in area, but the options during Check-in are Grandstand Section, Near Bus Stop, Near Pool, and Near Paddock. You can pick two of those options. In the past we have elected Grandstand and Near Bus Stop and have gotten what we wanted. I am attaching a screenshot of what I see when I go to check in.

Maybe someone else can talk about any other requests that you can make directly with guest services.

If you didn’t book a preferred room you won’t get Springs. You can request area but it’s subject to availability. No difference DVC or cash stay. If you are not DVC and booked cash direct just call reservations and add the request.

DVCers can request specific sections, even specific buildings and room numbers. There's no guarantees of getting what you request, if it's down to specific rooms or buildings, but requesting sections usually can work out well. As mentioned, Congress Park and Springs are considered 'preferred', so you can only request those if that was your booking category - all the others are 'standard' - you could request Paddock, Grandstand, or Carousel, or less specific such as near pool or golf course view. In Standard category, Paddock is popular for those wanting to spend time at the pool. Grandstand is popular for being the first bus stop as well as easy walk to the main building and boat dock.

When I book standard at SSR, I prefer Grandstand since it's the first stop for theme park buses. It's also pretty close to the Carriage House (check in, main dining & shopping).

We really liked paddock, pool is great, little kids area is great, has a decent little pool bar with some good food. Its in the middle of the bus loop, and honestly I don't think that matters much, its not a big time difference and we never had an issue with bus crowding.

It's a solid walk across from Paddock area to Carriage House, but not too bad, maybe 5 mins.

Thanks for your input! Also good reasons to pick request this area. I think I read that the Paddock rooms are the most recently renovated? Do you know if that is true?

Yes - the boat to DS is right at the back of the Turf Club restaurtant, which is at the rear of the Carriage House. When walking from Grandstand, there's a path that goes around the rear of the building direct to the boat dock. If you don't mind walking, there's a bridge and pathway where you can walk over to the West End side of Disney Springs from there as well (15 minute walk)

We prefer the Grandstand since it is the first bus stop, which can mean the difference between getting on a bus in the morning or not. In March you will be going around spring break times, which means it will get crowded. Plus it's nice to be dropped off first when coming back after a long day.

I will say my daughter and her family do enjoy the Paddock pool and head over to that pool a couple times during the week.
