SSR location recommendations first stay !

We will be staying at SSR for the first time . I have booked a standard view studio for myself DS 17 and DS11 . I have requested Paddock because it looks closest to Disney Springs as far as walking and I am just wondering if I made the right choice? Thank you!!

Hi, I've never stayed in Paddock but believe its got a great pool. We've done Grandstand 3 times now and love it. 5 min walk to main area and boat dock (google map it, there's a wee path down the back of the pool). Its first stop for the bus (apart from the DS bus) and the pool is lovely, never too busy, snack bar and drinks refill and a splash pad area too.

The slide at the Paddock pool is the best one at SSR.

True ,but you can request The Paddock which is a nice area and has a really good pool, with a slide ,snack bar and actual bar. It also is a very nice walk to The Springs,or as I 've known it Downtown Disney.

We always stay at Congress Park as we almost never go to the Carriage House and love to go to DS. But I recently booked a standard room for a friend who was visiting us. She was at Paddock and her building was just across the street from us. Very close.

We love the Grandstand area but had a great time on our family trip over Thanksgiving in the Paddock. Great pool area for the kids and an easy walk to Disney Springs.
