SSR for next New Years Eve/Day

I am getting ready to book my home resort of SSR for a New Years trip. We would not arrive until Dec. 31st, so I can't book until Feb. 1st.

We will actually be there from Dec. 31 to Jan. 5th and I originally had not planned to make my ressies until Feb. 6th because I really didn't think SSR would be complete booked at the first days of the 11 month window. We would most likely be looking at getting a studio.

I know it gets really crowded then, so now I'm thinking I should book day-by-day.

Thoughts?

Since NY is on a Monday next year, I think you will be fine to wait until the end. I guess the tactic I would take is to call on the 1st and reserve Dec. 31, ask if you need to call day by day, and then call back on the 6th and finish the reservation. The reason I would do it this way, is because a lot of folks will be doing the 31st as part of their Christmas to New Years ressie. I waited until past my 11 month check out date to make my early December ressies at OKW with no problems at all.

We got SSR for December 27 - Jan 2 this year in November. We were on a wait list, but it came through with no problem. New rooms are opening up at SSR all the time. I have always had very good experiences with wait lists too.

I agree with Diane - book 12/31 as soon as you can. Then just call one more time to book the rest. Can't believe you'd have a problem doing it that way. NYE is the only day that could be a problem if you don't get it right away.
