ssr for grand opening

I wish I was but I won't be going home till December. I'm looking forward to hearing the reports of the grand opening even though I know it will make me even more anxious!

We will have already come and gone to SSR by the grand opening. We're going for the "soft" opening, first night.

We'll be checking in the day after the Grand Opening Activities (Friday the 28th) . We're staying at BCV for 5 nights before then.

We'll be checking in on the 22nd and staying til the 29th so we'll be there for the grand opening, but I didn't buy any of the tickets for Member homecoming. DH and I already have AP's and bought the kids 5 day plus 4 park hoppers, so to spend the extra money now seemed foolish. Bummer. I just hope all the amenities will be available to us even though we are participating in the festivities. Has anyone ever been to a grand opening? Do they limit access to areas, such as the pool, etc? Any info would be great!
