Easy bus service to other resorts, easy access to Downtown Disney, and lovely walking trails.

I'm not sure increasing the size of Downtown Disney is a good thing. Looking at the artwork, it appears that they are adding a mall type building with mall type stores. It seems like more crowds, more noise, more traffic, etc. I'll wait before making a final judgement, but I kind of like the way things are right now. However, I do like the idea of a bridge to DD from Congress Park instead of having to walk on the street.

I think the plans look awesome! One of our favorite reasons to stay at SSR is it's proximity to DTD! The new pedestrian bridge will make it even easier to get there by foot!

I am very much looking forward to this. I love walking or taking the boat from SSR to Downtown Disney. Having more shops and restaurants to choose from will be great!

Not sure I am that happy about the bridge. It may break up some of the peaceful nature of SSR and I am really hoping they figure out how to control people coming to DTD and then using SSR buses to go to the parks and vice versa. Maybe the Magic Bands will work (if enforced). We love SSR because of the relaxing nature.

I agree with the bridge and needing to control those that use SSR buses from DTD. Dh and I were at SSR in January, and there were so many people that we saw or asked about which stop they should get off on to get back to their cars at DTD from SSR. They even asked the bus drivers, so they are not shy about it.

I assume that everyone realizes that the new bridge to SSR is not something that will go from DtD across the lake to the Congress Park pool area. But rather a short bridge parallel to the road near the current sidewalk/path, but set back some, so that pedestrians don't have to walk on a sidewalk right next to a busy street.

Please let Member Satisfaction know about this. I know when Claire was President this was something she was working on, have no idea if that is the case with the guy.
