SSR - dedicated 2 bed v lockoff ?

I am planning our next trip to WDW and staying at SSR. Are the lock off 2 beds bigger han the dedicated ? Does the dedicated have a bigger balcony ?

The dedicated and lock-off 2BR villas are essentially the same size. The lock-off 2nd BR will have a queen bed and sleep sofa, the dedicated will have 2 queen beds. The lock-off will have a balcony for the second BR, the dedicated will not. The lock-off will have the mini-kitchen, the dedicated will have a little more closet/storage space. The lock-off will have an exterior entry door, the dedicated will be accessed thru the interior doorway in the villa.

Yes. 20 of them per building, if memory serves.

Is it possible to request the lock-off 2 bedroom to have the extra balcony and entrance or do they only give these out as a 2 bedroom when the dedicateds are taken.

My dad and his wife are joining us and I was thinking this would give them the feel of more privacy.

You can request the lockoff at booking. They have to track each lockoff / dedicated assignment for inventory purposes, but I don't believe there are any reservations about booking a lockoff if that's what you want.

Note that the lockoff designation will NOT appear on your written confirmation, but it is stored in the computers and should be properly assigned when you check-in.

Speaking of requests not showing up on the confirmation letter, what about non-ha? Our nonsmoking is listed as a request but the non-ha is not. Should I double check with MS?
