SSR Building 4A - Anyone Else??????

Just got my paperwork, and noticed that my description is for Building 4A. WOW, these things are going quickly. I was reading positings for people in bldgs 1 and 2 just last week!

So, who are my neighbors???

We're in 3A. If you don't mind me asking, what is the estimated opening date of your unit according to the paperwork?

I couldn't find it last night. But, honestly, I didn't really read the paperwork in depth yet. They made a mistake in my name, so they have to send me a new set.

I tried to call my guide today, to ask a question about booking a cruise, but he isn't in today.

I'm in 1G and I put down my deposit on Oct.2. Does this mean that they have sold out 1-3 now? If so they are selling fast.

I just got my document package last night. I'm in 4A as well. The docs say anticipated opening date of 6/1. To be clear the documents do state that while we can "reserve" after 12/1, we can't vacation until our "condo" is available to the pool. This all seems so inconsistant with what I've been reading and what I was told by the guide. I do expect to call today and try and get some clairification (I'm thinking of getting another 20 points for a round 200 anyway. I can't believe I'm going to "add-on" before I even join ).

There is also some confusing language about giving up the points our first year. I'm very confused by it as it sounds like the "magical beginnings" thing I read they used to do. Perhaps it's leftover language and it doesn't apply. I only skimmed the docs last night and expect to go thru them quite a bit this weekend.

I think my paperwork said building 1E. I don't know what any of that means though. Haven't really been able to go over it yet. Got the package and the next day was in hospital having emergencey surgery done. Now that I am home, I need to call my guide to let her know the papers might be a tad late returning.
Does the 1 mean the first building completed??

I bought 200 pts. on sept. 25, my paper work says building 1F with a estimated opening for may 17.

got my paperwork last night and I am also listed as 4A. Called last night to get additional information about all of this and they told me 4A refers to the unit and the building is 2. We have a close date of May 1st, with first occupancy not available before June 1st. I understand the new sales are now for occupancy of July 1st. Those with a June 1st occupancy can start to make reservations on January 1st. Only people with an occupancy date of May 17th can make the reservations Dec 1st. If you want to use the system, you can stay anywhere and stat to make reservations, but cannot start a stay before your occupancy date - for me June 1st. Hope this helps clear up some of the confusion. Even our guide had to call me back with additional information as he had some trouble switching through all the computer screens.

Well, I guess my guide was wrong, cause he told me May 17th (which is my birthday). So Poop!

We are going to cruise on our first points, so I want to schedule for the best time!

I got my paperwork today, after having put my deposit down on 10/29 with a Feb use year. I've got an interest in 1P so it doesn't appear that there is much rhyme or reason to how people are being assigned tho' I guess there's one we just don't see...

FYI: My closing date is listed as 4/1 and my occupancy date is listed as 5/17

Funny we are 1E. We did not put a deposit down until 10/19/03. I suppose it has to do with inventory, UY, and how mnay points you are purchasing.

Our deposit was made on Oct. 24th and our unit is 3B. I think they know that we will all try to figure out some sort of logic to all this, but it is a random number. hahahaha

I agree with aeryn...there is obviously some pattern here that isn't clearly evident. DVC has sold out Building One, and is currently selling Building Two. Here's the bottom line:

If your Purchase Agreement has an estimated occupancy date of 5/1/04 or 5/17/04, then you own Building One. Early agreements had the 5/1 estimate, while later agreements were sent with the revised 5/17 date.

If your Purchase Agreement has an estimated occupancy date of 6/1/04, you own Building Two.

All of these dates are still estimates, but I suspect they will be a lot more firm by 12/1 when DVC begins accepting reservations. The last thing they need is to have to relocate people due to a missed opening date.

I wonder what the pattern is. We put our deposit down on October 31st and we are in building 1E with a est occupancy date of May 17th.

We have an April use year so maybe that has somthing to do with it?

I think my paperwork says 1I. The one is distinct and it's either a lower case L or an upper case I. I think that may be the unit though. I don't know the bldg, but I'll try to find out.
