I will be going to SSR in Oct with my two DS (7). We will be staying at SSR. We are planning to go to MNSSHP one night. But otherwise hang out by the new pool and go to DTD. Anyone have any recommendations for which area to stay in? It will be our first time at SSR.
Thanks!

1st 2 choices, I would put both down, as CP is a huge for requests.
I would vote for Congress Park for views of DTD. (and prox to main pool.) or Padd for prox to new pool.

Grand stand is near splash park, but based on kids ages, I would put CP and Pad way over for this one.

I would avoid Springs and Caras all together. Springs is center to the main bus route. Caras is for sure the most secluded if that is a goal, but also is the furthest away from all the pools, and everything. I hate this section. A solid walk to pool, DTD, Artist Pal, everything.

I would say Paddock or the Springs. Springs will get you close to main pool and boat access if you want to take the boat to DTD (with 2 little ones you might want to do that over walking).
The Paddock is where the new pool is.

I would pick Paddock first as it's where the new pool is located and it's the 2nd shortest walk to DTD.

I would pick Congress Park second as it's got the shortest walk to DTD and many rooms have nice views of DTD. It's also a short walk to the Paddock section where the new pool is located.

These sections are 3rd and 4th on the bus loop for your night to MNSSHP which should be fine.

If you want to be near the new pool...paddocks.

As for Carousel, it will no longer be the redheaded step child, because the Paddocks CS and pool is not very far from it. The addition of the Paddocks pool is the best thing that could happen at SSR...now hopefully they don't screw up the CS hours of operation in that area, LOL.
