I have used RAC at BWV many times and love it. We don't use DME and so on check-out day I go to the RAC desk to get my boarding pass and check in my luggage. I am at SSR now and leaving today. What a shock when, along with my list of room charges, my boarding pass and luggage tag were hanging on my door this morning! Is this because I am using DME this trip? Do all resorts do this or is SSR special? Is BWV just not up to speed? Or maybe this is something new?

Never had it happen to us before so it must be new. Seems like a great idea. :thumbsup2

It must have something to do with DME otherwise they would not have known our flight info. I was dreading the RAC process at this big resort, standing in line in the heat. I wonder if a person is not using DME, could you still just give your flight info ahead of time and have the boarding pass and luggage tag delivered to the room? One problem: then there is no tip for the Bags folks. I am assuming that DME must be covering that for me now just like they did on arrival.

Okay. When I checked out the bellman brought my bag to RAC. Then I showed ID and Delta credit card for fee-free luggage check and gave a tip. This makes more sense to me. It was certainly a lot easier and quicker than doing the whole process at RAC in the morning. I also asked whether I could get the boarding passes and tags delivered if I am not using DME and was told I could do so through concierge. I will be anxious to see if this is true. We will have 21 people and bags and it would be a lot less stressful for us and RAC if the process were speeded up by having stuff delivered the night before checkout.

We returned from BWV on 6/4. We had checked in and printed our boarding passes while at the MK Friday evening. The next morning we had another set of boarding passes included with our room charges. We do use DME so when we went to check in, the CM handed us YET ANOTHER set of boarding passes!

With SW, you need your Confirmation # to receive boarding passes, so I am unclear about how this all happened, I had not read anything about this new procedure. :confused3

If you have a DME reservation then they have started delivering boarding passes and your luggage tags the night before. In Dec we did have one person that didn't receive their info for some reason but all others did.

One caution - I've heard that if you are a frequent flyer having this done can mess with upgrade waitlists.

Did I still have to check in, or do they check in for you too? I asked at the resort check in, and she said they would have checked me in. Is that possible?
