I just wanted to know your opinons on wether to get the optional cleaning service at SSR? We are going home for our first time in 2 days and I just want to know what you thoughts are. I know they only come once during the week but I thought you could upgrade to every day. I also recall it beeing expensive. Any input would be great. Please excusse the spelling and any grammar errors I'm working on 27hrs. with no sleep.

What size room? How many nights? At least in a 1 bedroom or larger you have the washer/dryer for the towels. You can get daily trash & towel for $10 per day.

6 days in 2 studios, we should be all right with out don't ya think. We are also staying at POFQ for 2 nights

We make our beds every day at home, so it's nothing to pull up the sheets and blankets at our DVC resort. We hang up our towels each time we use them, so, again, it's not a hardship at DVC. Plus it is nice not walking back into your room in the afternoon (for a swim or nap) and having the room to yourself, no housekeepers in the room.

You might want to rethink the daily cleaning.

We prefer not having daily housekeeping, even in a studio.

When we are going in June 2 BDRM we are thinking Extra set of towles each $6 (2xeach) then T&T everyother day & $10 each (2x ,1 included)

So for $32 ( $26 studio ) we will have T&T every otherday (2nd,4th,6th days)and clean towles every day.We will most likely do this when we just go for the studio as well.We are treating my parents on our 1st trip home.

Hope this helps for an idea.

We just stayed in a SSR studio for four nights and got the regular trash/towel service the day before we left, which seemed kind of silly to me (nice, but silly in our case). We always take out our own trash and we had plenty of towels already. Anything else would have been superfluous because I have found in a smaller space, one tends to clean/straighten up as they go along. That's our experience, anyway. Of course, that depends on how many folks are sharing the space. I once stayed in a studio at OKW with three of my friends and that was interesting! In the past when we've stayed in studios for a longer period, we've done a mid-week laundry run, but I really try to avoid that.

I'll be in a 1BR at SSR in Jan. for 6 nights. I'd prefer not having anyone come into the room. Can I request that at check-in? Or do they always come in for T&T day? After how many days will they do the T & T service?

Terri

You can request it. And you can leave your Do Not Disturb sign on your door. No one (Disney folks) will even knock.

You don't need to pay for the 4th day that's already included.

Trash & Towel Service
For stays of seven or less nights, Trash & Towel Service is provided on day four, regardless of whether you're using Member-discounted cash, Vacation Points or a combination of both.

With Trash & Towel service, Housekeeping will:

Empty trash and replace liners in trash bins.
Provide fresh bathroom linens.
Replace shampoo, facial soap and bath soap.
Replenish facial tissues, paper towels and toilet paper.
Replenish coffee, sugar, cream and sweeteners.
Replenish dishwashing liquid, dishwashing detergent, sponges and laundry detergent as needed in one-, two- and three-bedroom Vacation Homes.

We stayed in two studios in August for four nights (my wife and I in one and our three children in the other (19, 17, 15)) and it worked out just fine. We had to take out the trash once or twice and once we ran the vacuum cleaner in the kids' room. I personally would not think the added daily cleaning service was necessary. By the way, we had a great time. Our first trip to DVC and we loved SSR.

Add us to the list of folks who prefer not to have daily Mousekeeping.
