What type of kids craft activities are available at SSR and AKV? Do they do pottery painting (how many days until they are ready?) or jewelry or anything amazingly Disney? How long does it take and how much is the cost? Thanks for sharing!

I've often seen children with CM's in the lobby of Jambo doing activities. They have special prorgrams "bead activities" that are free.

We were at Jambo 2 weeks ago, and there were plenty of poolside activities, movie at night, bingo in the afternoon, and there was something else being offered, but I didn't hear the announcement, we had no children with us.

I've just visited the community room at Kidani with my DGC and the CM's have spent lots of time showing DGS special African games that can me made with items around the house.

I really love the CMs' interaction with the guests at AKV!

They have ceramics painting at SSR, and I know they have had some kind of flower arranging class. My daughter made a jump rope one time when we were there. Some things are free, some things have a fee, it just depends on what they are. The rest of the activities are more typical of what the other resorts do - pool activities, movie, that type of thing.

Once when we were at the pool at SSR, there was an "ice cream making" activity. We were too close to dinner to partake, but lots of people were doing it. There was a cost.

I was there at the beginning of the month, these were the activities-

Hope that helps! I might have AKV, too- but it's from September 2010- are you interested?

We have stayed at AKV Kidani several times and the community center is great they have several low cost and free activities and crafts for the kids. My girls woulod rather stay there than go to the pool.

thank you all so much...that is exactly what I was looking for!

Podsnel, I would love to see the AKL offerings if they are handy - cant imagine they would be crazy different after 6 mos?!

Thanks again!

My grands would often rather be there than go to the parks! The CMs at Kidani are wonderful, in our (multiple) experiences. In addition to their calendar, Kidani has quite a bit of "always available" art crafts (some free, some low cost, $1,$2,$3 and maybe a couple of $5?) - pins, bead crafts, painting (little houses, figurines, etc), t-shirts, etc - more than we've seen anywhere else. The ceramic painting is at Jambo (usually in the Simba Club room).
