We've got reservations at Cali Grill with the Dining Plan in January. I know the meal is 2 TS credits, and I'm wondering if the SRF-Wagyu Eye of Ribeye is included as an entree option, and are any entrees ever excluded? It's $61 as of now, and that's a max use of the 2 credits, plus I really want to give this "kobe-style" steak a try. Also, anyone have success substituting an appetizer for a dessert? My wife and I will be going and I was thinking one could get an app and the other a dessert to split. Thanks for any info.

No reports on the Ribeye being excluded, but you never know. They could enforce an upcharge of $x amount, but no one has said they will.

As to the app for a dessert, that's not going to happen. If you truly don't want a dessert, you can ask them if they will sub something for it. Some places will let you have a small side salad, cup of soup, or an extra veggie. Some will say no to anything. It never hurts to ask.

As sharonabe said, you cannot choose an appetizer in place of a dessert. However, if you ask, some restaurants will offer a side salad, a cup of soup or a veggie side dish in place of the dessert. Whether a restaurant will let you sub something for the dessert and what that substitute item will be is at the restaurant's discretion. It will not be an appetizer on the menu.

I think CA grill allows the cheese plate for either an appetizer or dessert.

My understanding that the cut-off point for entree surcharge at a signature is $75, so you'll be fine with that entree.

As noted above, the cheese plate can be ordered as a dessert, you could always try ordering it as such and asking it to be brought out as a first course.

Thanks everyone for the info. Not too concerned about the app/dessert swap, more so wanted that $60+ steak! Either way, fireworks, steak and adults only trip with my wife is going to be a great time!
