Is is just me or are there less paid clicks on SR? I haven't gotten one since May 1. I check the site at least 4-5 times per day and nothing! Maybe I am just going through an unlucky phase right now. I love SR and I am not trying to complain. Just curious.

LOL! I had just posted one when I came to check on the DIS boards to see what's going on. :rotfl:

We definitely have had less clicks. The advertisers used to actually pay us for paid clicks. Now they do not (or at least it is very rare). So we only get paid if people actually put in their email address or zip code or whatever. That is why you don't see a lot of sites doing paid clicks anymore (unless they are Get Paid to Read sites that specialize in that). Statistically, so few people put in their email address or zip code anymore that it makes every paid click that we do essentially a loss.

I knew that if I just asked the question, the next time I checked the site, I would get one. That is just the kind of luck I have. Thanks for answering me. SR is sooo much fun! :goodvibes

Tricia, I've noticed on a few sites that do these sort of things that these clicks are the same as the offers in the offers section. I don't have one off the top of my head but usually you'll see generous genie type clicks in the paid clicks section and then in the offers section. So if we enter an email or zip code will we still be eligible to complete the offer in the offer section for 50 cents or do we lose out on that in the click section. It just seems silly to me to enter in the info they want for 2 cents when I can complete the offer for 40 or 50 cents.

That's a really good question. Unfortunately, it completely depends on things like cookie clearing. And whether you are using the same IP address. Some of them are tracking by email address only, so you can do as many as you want. But you are right that with some of the others, if they track your IP address on the paid click, it may mean that you will not get credit for an offer from the same company later.

I've been trying to find zip only and email only offers that are not the same as the ones that we have as offers. But sometimes they change the names up on us and they end up being the same ones. It's about as clear as mud even to me.
