I have bought a couple for my 10 year olds but had no idea these had become a huge in demand item! I wonder if people are actually collecting them hoping they'll make money (so the demand is really high) or if the supply/manufacturing has been low due to COVID.
Either way, it is definitely reminiscent of beanie babies. I definitely wouldn't bank on them holding any value in the future.
For those who aren't familiar, Squishmallows are a little different than most stuffed animals - they are super duper soft and squishy and the material on the outside is extra soft. My daughter often uses one of hers as a pillow at night.
