Well today we entered the single digit dance. let us pause to celebrate.
:banana::woohoo::dance3::yay:

okay and now to the 2 weeks from today update...today is a none park day, we have a few of those scheduled for the trip, so what we do will depend on the weather.

we will either go to a water park, which one is not decided yet, or we will spend a little while in DTD, lunch is up in the air, either the water parks, or we eat at DTD(earl of sandwhich)

dinner that is the dinner i am looking forward to the most, it is
Ohaha

it is my favorite disney meal there...i love it all the food the atmoshere and the entertainment.

i also am really excited about the new meal items, especially the dumplings.

after dinner that is still up in the air as well what we do, maybe a sing along maybe the top of the contemporary for some firework watching.

i want to get one in the collector boot mug, but the last time i saw them they were plastic boots, not even glass, so i might not get it
r u eating there on your epcot night?

i forgot your meals.

I recently changed it to be lunch on our Epcot day, which will be Monday the 14th.

Hooray for single digits, Dan!!! I remember in the distant past, we were all having fun choosing a title for this PTR!!! NOW you're almost there!!! My single digits are "just a dream away"...

Oh, I didn't realize that they added dumplings to the menu at 'Ohana. Interesting. We don't have it on the agenda this time around though.

Chapter 18. Chicago Trip, and the countdown.

I will start with the in 2 weeks update, which takes us to our 3rd full day in the parks, and our 2nd day in the parks.

That would be MK. We will hit rope drop, go to the fantasyland rides, and start our day there, pretty much the rest of the day will depend on crowds and what we feel like doing, lunch will prob be at cosmic rays or pecos bills...

Dinner is at liberty tree tavern, we are excited for my parents to try the family style meal there, we loved it last time we ate there. very good tasting meats and macs.

no spectro this night, at least it is not scheduled to have one, so we will see what the rest of the evening will hold for us.

Now onto our chicago update.

We loving going to chicago and hanging out, so this past weekend, it was forecasted to be over 90 all day on sunday so we decided lets take the train into the city for the day. Parker loves trains and we can just hang out and have a pretty inexpensive day.

So that is what we did, here one of the train stations that you can get on and ride downtown at.

parker absoletly loved it, he was so excited the whole way up there.

Our first stop in chicago was millenium park, they have a bunch of neat stuff to do and hang out at. There are 2 of these across from each other, they change faces and about every 5 minutes or so the faces spit water out...parker loved it.

it was nice and refreshing to kick your shoes off and just stand in the water.
DSC00474.jpg

of course parker was running the whole time in it.
DSC00480.jpg

here is a short video of him running and then bitting the dust, he did that a few times, but never hurt himself. the sound the kids made while running was very funny it sounded just like the incredibles when dash is running on water.

lunch time took us to anohter part of the park where they have concerts it was very nice out there, cool breeze and all.
DSC00495.jpg

then we went over to the reflective "bean" and took some pictures, parker was facinated with it.
DSC00499.jpg

my favorite are the reflection shots of the city behind you.
DSC00501.jpg

then began our trip down michigan ave "or the magnificent mile" to the disney store, with a quick stop to check out the chicago river on teh way by.

after parker picked out a new floppy sun hat for FL we made our way to the beach and hung out there for a while, splashing in the shallow part of the water, and then parker finding every rock onthe beach and bringing them to me.

next we went to navy pier and walked the boardwalk there with a nice cold one and some ice cream.
DSC00510.jpg

the thomas the train ride was a huge hit, that smile was plastered on his face the whole time.
DSC00515.jpg

DSC00516.jpg

he got a thomas the train whistle that is in the shape of the train, he is working it pretty good now and has figured out how to get a good train sound out of it.

here is a video of him riding the train around.

then we went back to the millenium park area and let him play aorund in the water again until it was time to head back to the train station for our return trip.
DSC00521.jpg

here we are waiting to see which train is going to take us home, parker held his okeydoke popcorn because he wanted to save it for the ride home.
DSC00526.jpg

and waiting on the train to leave for our journey back.
DSC00530.jpg

it was a great family day and the only time he got fussy was when we were almost home because he was hungry and wanted dinner, could not have asked for a better day.
