Squirts, Shirts, & Flirts...The Legend Continues (TR started 6-23)

What a fun birthday week! I think that you found the best time to go to Chuckie Cheese. I have only been there when it was packed!

Chuck-e-Cheese!! I don't remember the last time I was there.

My favourite was always the climbing thing. I was heartbroken when I eventually got too big for it :sad1:

I'm so jealous of Parker's presents! I love Wall-E. He'll be well prepared for Toy Story 3.

Oh my gosh, those Easter pics are the best! Egg in a whisk, that's absolutely brilliant!

Getting caught up over here reminds me that I never posted any Easter pics or mentioned our day. I don't think. :rotfl:

Happy Birthday Parker!!!!!!!

Looks like a lot of fun so far.

I'm diggin' your kind of birthdays!! NICE!!!

Cookouts are super fun- and great big dogs are definitely the way to go- especially since you can't get them at Casey's anymore.

Glenn, you're not the only one who was destined to make a big body fit into a Playplace. ;) Sakes alive those things REEK inside!

My crew figured out that you can pull the tickets as they are coming out of the games at CECand get about 100 more. :sad2: Yeah, lessons in honesty there.

My DH and I do birthday weeks too...my birthday is my favorite day of the year so why stop at just one day? :thumbsup2 My DH does get a little gypped though because his birthday is two days before Christmas. He is used to it but ever since we met I have made sure to do special birthday stuff for him, and not just Christmas stuff.
Very true, my birthday is 2 weeks before christmas, so sometimes outside family would just lump presents together. they claimed it was for both, but others got the same stuff, they were just getting off easy.

it is great, the few times we have taken him we have done that, or another good time is when they open on sunday mornings, very empty then as well, but then we have to miss church so we try not to do that to much.

yep and we already have the tickets to see the 3rd one, they came with the 1st and 2nd when we bought them, just hope he will sit through them at the theater.

the best hot dog fire dogs are oscar meyer they get so juicy and goooooddd

we tried that but there machines cut them off at what was out, i think they have fixed that, cause we used to do it as well.
:rolleyes1
You too huh? My wife was quite amused.

Yeah, it stunk; in more ways than one. I think kids go up there just to do business...
i think so, sweaty kids and duty stink.

parker does like his privacy while going,he will run behind us so we dont look at him.

Chapter 15. Parkers Birthday Part 2

We continued parkers birthday with coming home and him taking a nap, then it was time to play again, so we headed out to a local putt putt place, and let him play a round.

DSC00301.jpg

since it is still early in the season they did not have the water on yet.
dada showing him how to putt on the first hole.
DSC00302.jpg

he would hit it then run down and pick the ball up and drop it into the hole.
DSC00303.jpg

needless to say he got alot of 2's and even a few hole in ones, becuase he realized it was easier to just pick up the ball and take it down to the hole nad drop it in.

he also had fun walking in the water hazards of the holes without the water running.
DSC00310.jpg

we let him do this one all himself and the ball ended up going backwards, he wond up missed then smacked it backward.
DSC00311.jpg

when we got home it was dinner time, so we had a picknic on the living room floor...he wanted a hot dog, so him and daddy had hot dogs, while candi had left over pizza from lunch.
DSC00314.jpg

i asked him if he had a good day and he said yes and gave candi some loven.
DSC00315.jpg

after our picknic we built a fort over the TV and put some toys inthere and we sat and watched lamp and the tramp 2 scamps adventure in our fort, he had a good time helping me built it and playing in it...it was a little hard to make right since the TV was so much taller than the chairs we used...
DSC00318.jpg

and since he had 4 big cakes and individual kid cakes for the next day for his party, we just got 2 small cakes at the store for his actual birthday day.
DSC00322.jpg

the next day was his family and friend party. it was a good time, i made homemade tacos and fajitas, the fajitas were awesome, everyone loved them, and im glad i made as much as i did cause they went fast.
it was a thomas the train/cars theme party.
DSC09925.jpg

here he is with grandma and grandpa that are taking us on the trip this year.
DSC09904.jpg

and here is apicture of our 6th sto away coming on the trip, great grandma to parker

DSC09920.jpg

my sister got him this thomas outfit he wore it for a few minutes then he did not like how bulky it was with the rest of his clothes.
DSC09929.jpg

candi made these cakes for the kids at the party, parker got the engine and each kid had a train car for there cake.

DSC09949.jpg

we could not fit the #2 candle in his indivdual cake, so we used one of the jello cakes for it, candi makes the best jello cake in the world, everyone in the family loves them and they often ask her to bring them to family parties for desert or for birthdays, they are awesome and not that bad for you at all.

DSC09960.jpg

his favorite present was a big barn that candi grandpa built, it was the same design he made for candis brother when he was little. it is huge, it measures like 3 feet tall, and about 4 feet long it even has a loft that he used real cedar wood with doors, so it has a nice cedar smell to it. and 2 big doors to drive the tractors in and out of.
DSC09966.jpg

after presents and the kids running around for a while, i had the fire pit set up in the neighbors yard so the kids could cook smores, i helped them and they loved it...parker liked his but he took the marshmello off and just ate the chocolate and the grahm after a few bites.
DSC09992.jpg

it was alot of fun and a great party.

What a special birthday Parker had! You and Candi planned a really nice day for him. Candi's cakes are really cute. Jello cake is really good! I love the barn! What a great idea!

WOW

What a fun birthday week!!

Chuck E Cheese in the morning is the best :thumbsup2

Parker looks so grown up in one of the mini golf pics where he standing up on that thing that normally has water runing though it. He looks a couple years older

Picnics in the house look like fun too :goodvibes

There was a part two???

Parker is the luckiest kid in the world! What an amazing birthday celebration!

And those cakes Candi made were VERY cuute! She must've put a lot of work into them

What a great Birthday week. My DD when she was little would play mini golf the same way. She would try to hit the ball and then just pick it up and walk over and drop it int he hole

we let him do this one all himself and the ball ended up going backwards, he wond up missed then smacked it backward.

Don't worry Parker, I've had my tee shot end up behind the tee box on a regular golf course. Bouncing it off of rocks will do that. You've gotta have fast reflexes if you play with me.

only way to hit the cheese is the morning hours.

she did do a lot of work on them took her a few hours to decorate them how she wanted.

we are lucky parents to have such a good little boy.

a few times he would drop it in the hole and it would bounch out it was funny he kept trying to get it back in there, one time it bounced out hit his foot rolled up a hill and back in the hole.

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Awesome birthday EVERYTHING!!

im the same way watch out for the bounch back from trees.
:duck:

that reminds me of a time i was golfing in high school...i was at #1 tee box, waiting for a group of 4 older guys in there 60s to tee off, they saw i was alone and told me to go ahead...so i get ready to tee off and they tell me to rip into it...i keep thinking to myself, dont screw up dont screw up, and what happens...well there is about 2 inches of brick sticking up from the ground of the raised tee box we were in, and of course the ball line drived into it, and came flying back at me, i ducked, went right over my head, and off into the putting green practice area, the one old guy said dont worry son ill get it...

he ran and got it, i just hurry upped and chipped it out of there and went on.

gotta love the pressure golf situation.
:rolleyes1

have not done any trivia in a while so i will impart some knowledge below.

but first, i started our countdown calander last week.

parker loves it, i have pictures and will share them later

also this weekend we did our disney trial run camping trip with my parents, we had a great time and will have pictures of that as well to post later.
i have to get all of my dads pictures first.

but for now we have trivia.
todays trivia takes us to dino rama with chester and hester.

those two crazies turned ther eland into dino rama refusing to sell there land to the dino institutue.

hence you have the carnival themed area of dino land...also take note ofthe parking spot lines on the ground, like most good canivals they are in parking lots and it is no different here.

Also the highway that is around the bend of the carnival is the highway us 498 a node to the day AK opened april of 98

now we move onto the mount of everest

when building it, they did not use scaffolding since that would distort the image that they recieved while building it, instead they used 2000 steel beams sticking out of the mountain with small flat bases on them that the artist used while constructing the outside. not disturbing the view of the mountain as they built it. then each one was cut off leaving no trace of being there.

if the yeti ever stops working they turn a strob light on him and a fan to move his fur to make it seem like he is still moving without having to shut down the ride.

That's interesting! I did not know that...I'll have to look for that next time.

I heard about Everest being built like that on a TV program about the building of that attraction. Imagineers sure are creative
