Squirts, Shirts, and Flirts, The Legend Continues 2 weeks in FW(wrap up #2 new 11-17)

Happy 4th Anniversary Dan and Candi!

Our 5th is in a couple of weeks and we are heading back to where we had our honeymoon, WDW!

The place you stake out is a place where we have watched a parade before. It is a good spot! Sorry that you had an encounter again this trip. Some people just don't get it! :confused3

"man to much cotton candy on this boat i guess.":rotfl2:

That is a new one, Dan! Great parade pics! I wonder what that mom's problem was - "go over there, so you won't bother me when you get obnoxious" ?
Happy Anniversary to you both!

Seems there's been some mischief going on over here. I'm just not sure if I'm part of the problem, or part of the solution! :lmao:
well since he voted me as the problem, ill say he was the problem and you were the solution this time.
:thumbsup2
Thanks for the welcome. I'm used to Glen and Marv...especially since Marv took over my PTR while I'm on vacation (where I still am).

I'm too tired tonight (we had a celebration which is in my PTR), but I will read the full report tomorrow after we get back from the beach (and I probably will skip a lot of the chatter :lmao::lmao::lmao:).
ahh i see well glad u made time for a little reading while on vacation, but dont worry about catching up, enjoy the vacation and read when you get back...
Congratulations on the 4th Anniversary Dan and Candi!!!! :yay: :woohoo: party:

Oh THIS is going to cause an update to Glenn's Candi shrine philosophy!!! :sad2: You HAD to go there!!!!:scared1:
thanks marv...and yep i bet it might make for some tweaking on his wall o fame.
WOOT! I missed all the abuse, and apparently being called a clown by Rosie.

Great update! I don't get people that send their kids to cut in front if there is clearly no room. And then send them back on top of it!

Granted, my kids will just sneak up there on their own and cut and I'm the one telling them they can't do that but...whatever.

Your poor dad, Parker leaked. UGH.

All in all, sounds like a really really fun night.

And a great tailgate.
hey as long as you dont send em yourself and forget to claim them when they get caught by security you are in the clear.:rolleyes1

we have all been leaked on at some time im sure....

I will admit that I did not read EVERY SINGLE word, but I did get the gist of the first several chapters.

First, Happy Anniversary. Second, you have a lovely family. And third...you guys can't be all that bad as you are Bears and Cubs fans as is three quarters of our family (our youngest son is a diehard Packer fan, and he also loves Bret Favre--although I do too).

Ah - that's the first mistake - "politely"......polite doesn't seem to work with people willing to send their kids across the street to sit in front of someone else's kid.:rolleyes1

My bus-trip Mimosa recipe. One gallon jug of Citrus Punch (or orange juice - I like the other flavors mixed in) one bottle (750ml?) champagne. Pour off about half the jug of juice, add the bottle of champagne - slowly so it doesnt fizz all over, pour back in enough of the juice to fill the jug - give the rest of the juice to the kids.:thumbsup2

And my bus-trip bloody mary is - get empty gallon jug, pour in on bottle (750 ml) vodka, one big bottle bloody mary mix, top off with vegetable juice.

I can't tell you how they taste, 'cause I really don't care for the taste of either of them (I like sweet fruity stuff :cutie: - I don't like what the champagne does to the fruit juice :confused3), but we have about a dozen or so bus trips to Cubs games each year, some of the trips we (my husband) runs so I have to make the drinks, the other trips Ray runs so they make the drinks. There are people who have been on trips enough times that they know if Ray is there that I did not make the drinks and some will pass on them...especially the Bloody Mary's. I think he gets creative and it never tastes the same way twice - or he goes a little nuts on the pepper. If nothing else - mine is consistent. ;)

Oh - and both gallon jugs will fit comfortably together in a "playmate" cooler.

Sounds like fun!
i liked your comments on the parade incident.

and wowsers that is some way to drink em, i will have to remember that for next time, now im guessing each of those drinks are shared,

Can't wait to see that parade. Used to love it

I cant believe people are so rude. Glad you didnt have to get into it with that lady

Love look on Parker face as he is watching parade...looks so excited :goodvibes

looks like tailgaiting was a lot of fun too. THat was so nice of those guys to let Parker watch some cartoons.

Great updates :thumbsup2
thanks sharky, we seem to atract the caring people during the parades...and they actually were pretty nice guys as well as the group of friends that came to tailgate with them, we were surprised and happy we were next to some good people.

First, thanks for giving us something to have fun with...we had a good time while waiting for the update.

I'm glad you reminded us, because I actually did forget where we left off.

i know your getting old, so i had to help your memory along.

This sounds awesome. Sometime I'll have to have you show me on a park map where it is.

i will do it before the report is over, i will show it on a map where it is.

Yes, I remember. I can't believe it...you really shouldn't carry around that sign that says "please stand in front of us".

i know but i have it with me at all times so:confused3

Um, it was probably just sweat.

thats what i told him.

It does look good. That was made up of 6 photos, folks.

yep thanks again, my family really liked it i sent them a copy as well.

Wow, how did you manage that?

we are just good, actually those are the seats that candis brother got us.

Yep, enjoyed it. And like I said, we also enjoyed giving you grief while we were waiting.
sorry glenn to lazy to go back and seperate everything its getting late and time to relax some, spent all day going down to indy and meetings then back home again...

i think it was something like that she just had enough of them and wanted to get rid of them

thank you very much

Yes, and I forgot to mention that (I keep going back and forth and typing the draft of my TR for when we get home from Florida and answering posts on my PTR). We went to a game this year. It was a little sad...the bleachers were half empty...I've never seen that in our numerous visits to Wrigley (we were about six rows behind the visitors side near home plate; I think there is a pic somewhere on my PTR). I here whatyou are saying about Favre. The last three years have been a little ridiculous...but the man loves the game.

:drinking1:drinking1 Yep - we share. We belong to a Cubs fan club that has charter bus trips up to Chicago (and Cincinatti, Milwaukee & St Louis sometimes). After we do coffee and donuts we pass around the bloody mary and mimosas. So those 2 jugs are far a whole bus full of people.

ahhh....tailgating at Purdue! My brother is a Purdue Alumni and we would come out for the Ohio State Vs Purdue games. Some of the best times I have ever had! Course don't remember either game much but oh well! The one time we went out to eat after the game and the waiter accidently spilled a whole pitcher of ice water on my husband's lap! We all thought it was the funniest thing EVER! Even my husband had to laugh a little! THat server was very lucky he accidently spilled it at our table cause some people don't let that go! LOL!

Happy be-lated 4th Anniversary!!! :rainbow:

The To Honor America float is from over here on the west coast.
It ended the Electrical Parade for many years at DLR. Got chills everytime I saw it.

Awesome tailgate party! We never get to do that here in Vegas. I mean really, tailgate for the Rebels? LOL! Oh yea, and its like 105 out there at Sam Boyd stadium.:rotfl:

i know me either, i think people are finally getting fed up with and the losing, and also the cost of tickets doesnt really help either.

Probably tweaking even as we type! :lmao:

Evening Dan!!! Oops it's morning I guess:rotfl2:

at first when i read that i though you were saying you guys had waiters at your tailage, i was going to ask to come to the next one.
:thumbsup2 but you can still invite me to the next one.

i really liked it and it sure is looooonnnnngggg didnt think it would make the turns.

wow that hot even at the end of the season?

Hey Dan!

Great update!

Glad you scored a nifty parade spot. Sorry to hear you had another encounter with the space invader. That was just odd.

The taligating looked mighty nifty though. Good job on manning the grill! (Any tailgate party which does not result in the car being set afire is a successful one in my book!)

You guys are cracking me up! Maybe he needed to visit the facilities. And as per GB, we ALL know how long that can take a guy. :rolleyes1
Everybody needs a legacy I guess.

i was going to say i think it is me that attracts the crowd at the parades, but then again, it didnt start until recently so i think ill blame it on candi.:thumbsup2

im scared to ask if you have had a car set onfire in a tailgate?
:rotfl:

All caught up and I'm really enjoying your TR! Great pics, beautiful family and looks like a good time was had by all. My kids love finding hidden mickeys so I will be sure to try to find the ones you pointed out when we go in Nov.

:welcome: aboard thanks for the kind words.

i wish i got into the hidden mickeys more, hope to get more next time i think parker will love doing that on future trips...we will need to get the book first though.

Hi; I'm back from our trip and I can see I have a lot of catching up to do. But I'm resubscribed and will catch up on what I missed tonight. I wanted to do it last night but started my own TR last night and I had to see what Marv was up to. :)

Dan, I'm caught up and I made a LIST of things I wanted to comment on.

First, I love the "smurfs" invading Epcot -- too cute.

I love your Soarin' story. :rotfl2:

We did Biergarten last week--I must admit, I was a little disappointed (they had chicken schnitzel instead of veal -- what's up with that?).

The Blizzard Beach pictures are awesome. I didn't know they did Photopass pics at the water parks (probably because we never go).

And I love the progression of photos on Barnstormer. Parker did great!

You have a lovely family.

hmm, so your thinking mine was made of veal:headache:

i think they are really trying to expand the photopass to other areas to get more people to buy them...they are at alot of resorts around christmas as well

thanks:thumbsup2

Chapter 20. Lossing your top in TL

another morning of waking up bright and early. We were all up by 7:00 ready for another water park day this time it was to TL. Parker got his morning gift after he was ready to go.
DSC01239.jpg

and we hunkered down for our mickey pancakes.
DSC01876.jpg

here is parker getting his first mickey hot cakes of the trip.
DSC01878.jpg

on the bus over someone kept us entertained
DSC01914.jpg

when we arrived at the park at 8:30 we found out it was an unannounced EMH and the park was already open for us.
so we quickly threw our stuff in a locker and headed over to crush and gusher to make sure we got a ride on those incase the line was long later.

Photo0257.jpg

candi and i did all three slides first and then nana and papa did theres, while parker played in the shallow end of the pool
Photo0268.jpg

we then headed over to the family ride which theydidnt let our family all go in one tube, we had to split up so we took parker with us, he really liked it, but it was alot rougher than the one at BB so we only went on the one time with him.
Photo0281.jpg

next up candi, parker and i hit hte kiddie area, while nana and papa hit the few tube slides in the area, we both agreed that the kid area in TL was not very kid friendly for hte little ones, slides were too fast, alot of rough surfaces, and really just a place that you did not feel to comfortable with your little oneplaying in. i did have a water fight with parker on my side and the lifeguard against us, we would cover up the different holes on the spray cannons, and get an extra 15 feet of distance on the water, which would allow us to hit her at great distances...he had a good time with that one.

and in our defense, she started it, by showing us how to cover the holes and srayed us first while we were in the boat.

she is in the background of this picture behind nana and papa.
Photo0293.jpg

they took parker then and candi and i hit the tub slides next.

the lazy river was close so we all got on there next...this took a while to get a picture in cause people kept coming past, but we finally got a few.
Photo0298.jpg

Photo0305.jpg

next up was the shark reef, you wouldnt believe how many people ended up backing out of the line once they got there instructions and got htere feet inthe water, they would actually get there faces in see the sharks on the bottom and get out and leave....the lifeguards were getting mad at the guy giving instructions, because they said the people were not aware that there were actually fish in the tank.:confused3what did they think shark reef meant and snorkling ment when they got there face mask.

anyway, in our group, he played it up a little to tease people and kept saying that snorkling has fish and there are fish in here, and so forth...i think it honked of the lifeguards more,

after that it was time, for lunch, no bird pooping in my pop this year, but the lady that was checking us out, did see parker and said hold on a minute, and ran to the counter and got him a play bucket and shovel that comes with the kids meal...he was sharing our lunchs and we still had plenty of food, but she insisted that all cute kids get buckets.

on the way back from lunch we decided to get a picture in front of hte wave crashing into us...we had a blast doing this and my parents loved it.
Photo0308.jpg

after this my parents left us to hit the crush and gusher again while we went to the other side of the wave pool to get another picture. as we were waiting on the group in front of us to get theres done. well to put it as best i can the girls in front of us were in there mid twenties, and lets just say they were pretty large up there and a when wave came so did there there tops right down, they popped out and they didnt realize it. not sure if they couldnt feel it or what, but the photo pass person was like ummmmm,....and trying his best to tell them without just blurting it out...you know doing the whole hand jesture thing, kind looking down and saying ummmm.... with the motion and such.

finally they realized and were very embarrased, and then was the whole trying to cover em up while putting em away motions that was not done very smoothly.

made us wonder, i wonder if they allow them to get them on there photopass card,of there are workers that screen the cards and and delete them.
:rolleyes1

so with headlights put away it was time for our picture...the funny thing about this was, when you get your photopass pictures back, it puts them in order based on the time they were taken, well my parents happened to get this shot in right between ours, our picture was taken then it shows theres, then ours with the wave hitting us.

our picture in the water.
Photo0311.jpg

there picture on the walkway.
Photo0313.jpg

we met up with them in the shallow area of the crush in gusher when they were done...and let parker play with his new bucket and shovel inthe water.

DSC01884.jpg

he would dump water on top of nana, and then laugh up a storm,
DSC01886.jpg

then he thought he had to get papa as well.
DSC01888.jpg

lucky for him he was standing taking pictures.
DSC01889.jpg

we were all getting a little tired at this point so we packed our things up and headed back to the camper.
DSC01904.jpg

we relaxed a little at the trailer and showered up before our dinner plans at chef mickeys
