an update on my grandma...my dad and aunt made it down there late last night and saw her, they will have more info today...but as of last night they think that they might have to put her on a pacemaker to help her heart along.

an update.

they just found out that she does not have sepsis, (which is good because that could have been very bad.)


she did however had a heart attack on tuesday which is why she was feeling the way she did.

they still have her somewhat sedated to help her heal through that and they are going to put a pacemaker in to help her in the future.

so she will have some recovery from that taking place. but it is not as bad as we were originally told.

Chapter 31. Monorail farts and a DIS meet.

i think it is time for an update (trying to get one in before marv does, which i dont think will be a problem)

So we last left off with us leaving the luau. My parents were eating at the wave so lets check to see what they did the rest of the night.

Apparently they had some cookies for chip and dale, but it looks like parker ate one while waiting for them to come around so it looks like only one chipmunk will get a snake tonight.

the lady was talking to him abouthis cookie for the guys. (growing up we always took them chocolate chip cookies and they always loved it, they would throw the biggest fit about getting them.

yep looks like they still love them.

he loved the sing alongs, we took him back later in the week with us as well.

in case you do not know what they are, at FW there is a big area set up with a stage and such where they have a sing along with good old sing along songs, and chip and dale come out...then they show a short disney cartoon and follow it with a movie every night.

it is a lot of fun and they are very well attended.

so while they were doing that lets check in with what was happening to us...

we left dinner very full and happy

happy because of which reason?

1. we loved the show.
2. we were on a date night in disney
3. we were on our way to our very fist DIS meet
4. the unlimited drinks we had at the luau
5. all of the above


i think it was a combination of all of the above.

so onto the monorail we were going to take it to the MK and get on a bus there.

so we get on, and get a nice seat right by the window. i am against the window and candi is next to me.

at the GF stop a family gets on and stands in front of us...they have a boy who is about 9ish and immediatly kinda stairs us down and gives us the stink eye.

candi and i kinda laugh to each other and continue talking...she asks me which bus we are going to be looking for and before i can say anything, the kid turns around and hushes candi.


she looks at me and laughs.

then he is holding onto the bar that turns when the door opens. which happens to be very close to where i am sitting which is fine, but he then starts to lean back while holding onto the pole, i think trying for his best rosie impersonation of pole dancing, his head is back so far it is almost in candis lap.

then he stands up suddenly and kinda leans toward her and farts...yep farts right at her.

she is so surpised by this that she laughs out loud and says " oh my gosh are you serious"

i am besides myself at this point. and this is all happening before we even make it to the MK stop.


when we get there they get off the monorail but not before the kid turns and looks at her and gives her the stink eye again.

it was hilarious we were talking about it last night and she said it was the funniest gross thing she could remember.


now with farting kid out of our way we head to the bus stop, but not before i text glenn to ask him which resort we are suppose to be at riverside or French quarter.

he does not text me back so we start to talk to the bus driver her bus is headed to FQ so she says she will call and find out.

she calls her dispatch and they do not know, she says well ride along with me and we will get it figured out for you guys.

she likes our matching outfits and says that we will make some cute kids we tell her about parker and show her a picture and she is in love with him.

when we arrive at FQ the gate keeper says he has never heard of the show...she stops a CM walking across the parking lot and she says she is not sure.

about that time i get a message back from glenn telling us where to go...we relay that onto our new driver friend and she says stay put i will take you guys.

she tells her new passangers that get on that she has to make a special stop for us before they head to the MK. we thank her very much and she says to enjoy the show when we are getting off at riverside. she was one of the nicest CM's we have encountered there. you could tell she loved her job.


so with the right destination we head inside and find the bar where the show is to happen.

we walk in and i look around the famous Judy finds us standing by the bar and says dan, candi, this way.

its a good thing judy was our first impression and glenn (he was in the bathroom i think) because judy was very nice and we decided to stay and not run out of there.

the kids were up talking to Bob when we got there.

pretty soon glenn showed up and we starting chatting with him, and we remembered to get a picture to document the meet.

before the show started Bob came around to every table and talked to people.

just casual stuff like your name where you are from and so forth. i also think he was talking to james about his drinking, but if my memory is correct that was the only bottle james had that night.

JK im pretty sure that glenns bottle.


the converstatin was alot of fun good stories and good laughs...as you can tell from candis no eyes laugh to judy laughing she cant even drink...

well maybe part of there laughing was from the show itself we will not be sure.

glenn offered us some of there appetizers they got but we were way to full from dinner to eat anything else but a nice cold brew was had.

during the show Bob would call out peoples names he meet and why they were there and from what state and so forth...he wished us a happy anniversary

the girls going up to do a dance.

candi got stuck on the other side

the whole room even got into the song that they were to act like a tree.
not sure who gets the points for the best tree, candi or glenn

then glenn up on stage front and center to partake in the YMCA i believe it was.

the show itself is hard to describe, it is good family fun, with some nutty ness mixed in, and constant laughs.

like he would go from singing whoop there it is, straight into supercalafragalistic. and then blow the buggle

glenn was even nice enough to take the extra bud light lime that the waiter brought when he asked if i wanted another one, he brought candi one as well...i said she didnt order one, and he kinda stood there.

i started to say i was up to the challenge, but glenn stepped in and said he would take it.

it was a big difference from the dark beer he had before that so it took him a while to change his taste buds over.

between the 2 shows that BOB does we went up front and got our picture taken with him.

then it was time to head on back,we took the bus with glenns family back to DTD where we caught a bus to FW judy took a bus home to her resort and glenn and the kids went shopping.


it was a great evening from the luau--to monorail farts--to glennbo

what else could you ask for.
