We are thinking about putting in a vegetable garden this year, peppers, tomatoes, lettuce, stuff like that. The only problem is that we get a ton of squirrels around us and anything that we leave out they attack. We had plastice garbage cans and they ate through them to get to the garbage, we had metal cans with bungey cord lids and they figured how to get the lids off.

If there a way to keep them out of the vegetables or would I just be planeting for them to eat and get nothing out of the garden?

Thanks

Squirrels don't like hot pepper. Sprinkle a little cayenne on your plants and the squirrels will leave them alone. Of course, you'll have to hold off a couple weeks before harvest, unless you really like spicy veggies.
