Squeaking in one more ride: Best way from DHS to Epcot?

What's the quickest way to go:
1. take the boat from DHS to International Gateway or
2. take the bus?

Going from DHS to Epcot at 9pm (after Frozen fireworks) for one last ride on Maelstrom before it closes down. Epcot closes at 10pm. Solo, mobile adult.

Appreciate any thoughts on this as my last trip to the World was 2012!

I checked google maps and found the path from DHS to the Intn'l Gateway...I'll probably cut thru the Boardwalk pool area. It's my arrival day so I should still be fresh to book it over there.

I mapped out the distance on Bing Maps, and it's about 1.75 mi.

cutting through the boardwalk pool area is key. grab a drink on your way out of the studios, and you will be in epcot before you know it

I will add that if you see the boat heading towards the studio dock. Then it is faster to get on it.

Not for me. I have raced the boats and I always beat them.

If you are good solo walker and move along you have plenty of time. I used to do this for July 4th fireworks! The cut though the pool area is they key shortcut.

Two walking stories....
My friend and I exited WS, and headed to the boat...we were going to DHS. But, they were just closing the 'door'...and told us the next boat would be there in 15. We yelled back that we would walk and beat them...not happening was the response. So, when we got to BW, the boat had arrived and was discharging passengers. We saw it head over to YC/BC as we cut through the pool are tunnel. That was the last we saw of it until we got to DHS..it was coming around the bend as we passed by the canal. They docked as we made our way though bag check!
Then, there was the night we watched IllumiNations and I really wanted to catch Osbourne lights before DHS closed. It was chilly as well...we walked rapidly to BWV where I ran up and grabbed a sweatshirt. Then walked very quickly to DHS...it took me about 18 mins from WS to DHS...man, I was out of breath, but I made it with about 15 mins to spare!

If the boat is there, and loading, take it. If it isn't, walk. If you walk rapidly, I would walk in any case..especially with you knowing about the cut through!!!
