Spur of the moment trip and Dining Plan.

I just set up a 8 night trip to WDW so I can spend it with my brother and his family. Now this is going to be their "very first time" in WDW so I'm really very happy to be sharing it with them.

DB and family have the DDP and I'm sure they'll want to go to a couple really nice restaurants and of course a character meal!!

My question is......do you think I could add the dining plan onto the last 5 days only of my trip without totally screwing up my reservation?? I usually don't do the DDP whether on my own or when DH is with me. So this is a first. I've been reading all the "pros and cons" about segemented reservations and it worries me some. I'll be calling MS this morning to add something on the ressie so I thought I'd ask now.

You should not have an issue I split my reservation and I was told that I would need new room keys but that did not happen.

I spoke with MS yesterday and they explained how it works. Still thinking about it.
