I bought the BlackBerry Pearl about three weeks ago.

I get more static
calls do not come threw.
not user freindly

But I am figuring it out.

I could return it and ask for a different one or they migh try to see if something is wrong with it

OR

I could get the palm Centre

BlackBerry has more pixels in the camera and I like the way you can view caller history. The phone is said to be more durable also.

Palm has touch screen, user freindly.

Whats is everyones thoughts?

Thanks Tigger

Still in the process of figuring out my BB Pearl right now. I needed it for the calendar and contacts but really like the other features. I now carry it instead of PDA, phone, computer and GPS device and I can use it for the modem on my computer.

Hated my Centro, got it right when they debuted. Within the first 30 days (luckily) it started locking up and refused to sync my contacts and calendar. Hard reboot would fix the problem but would not take the new data from the next sync. I returned it and upgraded to the Treo 755p, which I love. The keyboard is just enough wider that the keys are easier to hit (they are very close on the Centro) and the case is rubbarized, meaning that it doesn't get dinged up as easily as the Centro. As I had used a Palm product for years when I moved to a smartphone I wanted to keep the Palm format, plus I didn't want to spend the extra $$ per month for the Blackberry data plan. Good luck with your decision.
