Although I really enjoyed the Star Wars races, they didn’t sell too well either.

Yes, but that was before all the Disney+ series they've done. With Mandalorian, Ahsoka, Andor, Skeleton Crew, ObiWan, Acolyte, Bad Batch.... there is tons of new and popular SW IP to capitalize on now.

In for the 10 miler! Now I have to figure how to mash up Star Wars characters with emotions and recruit people to join me for costume fun.

The only oddity for me this time was that for the 10K, it pre-filled everything in my address except the state - I had to go back and add that. But when I went back to do the 10M separately, the state was filled in like usual. Weird.

For me everything but state auto filled for 5k but than I needed to manually type everything in for the 10k

DH and I are in for our 5th Springtime Surprise Challenge!

DD and SIL are in for the 10 miler.

DD and I are also doing DL Half in 2026!

I'd like to try a challenge one time. I asked my wife per preference for a race and she said anything but that one. On the flip side when we were walking the dogs last night she does seem more interested in MW than I do, so now I'm going to have to somehow shoot for 2027 MW.

Hadnt realized at first but they reverted to the old queue system didn’t they? I checked the Princess Weekend signup and they had a new type of splash page for the waiting room that wasn’t used for this one.

I kept getting telegram notifications about the 10k being opened back up after being sold out while at Dr office

Hadnt realized at first but they reverted to the old queue system didn’t they? I checked the Princess Weekend signup and they had a new type of splash page for the waiting room that wasn’t used for this one.

They did. That splash page appeared to be a way to dismiss traffic to the site that wasn't there to register and a way to further throttle what is going in to the queue. I'm glad they didn't force it when it clearly didn't work as planned for Princess.

The princess registration was a crapshow in my opinion. Had the HF opened for me I may have signed myself up but it was never an option anyway. But my real fear was that whatever they tried during that registration would be tried again for this one. And I love SS. Glad it worked out. This was the easiest registration for me to date.

Although I really enjoyed the Star Wars races, they didn’t sell too well either. I think it is that it is hot, and it is usually a little more expensive for rooms during April.

Yeah, April would not be my first choice to visit because of prices and Spring Break crowds but I'll be headed to Orlando to go visit my Dad in Cocoa Beach anyway so this will be a fun 2 day diversion.

Oof that was a stressful morning!
I was responsible for registering 12 (yes, you read that right, 12!) persons for the 5K (my family, my brother in law’s family and my mother in law… so 5 adults and 7 kids between 9-19!)
I got a queue quickly (started at 20 min on my computer and everyone else had 60+minutes) but I could not get through the payment part
The page crashed on me and I had to start over
Luckily my husband has one that was ready when my page crashed and I had a back page on my phone that was ready, so we were able to sign everyone up in batches of 2-4 people
Maybe Rundisney has a rule for a max number of registrations per transaction?
I almost had a heart attack but all good now!!!

We had a state inspection today at work, so DH was left trying to sign me up for the 10k. In between dealing with the inspector, I was able to try to get in the queue. DH had long times. I was in, got all the way to the payment screen and the inspector finished up and I had to put my phone away to finish up with her. By the time we finished it was too late. Dh wasn’t able to get in for the 10k, but did sign me up for the 5k. Bummed I couldn’t get in to the 10k but it works out better since DD9 will be able to have all day Sat. to celebrate her bday that day.

Well, I had pretty much decided not to sign up for this, since I’m already doing marathon weekend and a trip at the end of March, but then my sister ended up registering for the 10-miler. So I did too but I’m still not 100% sure I’m actually going to go. It’s so much so close together and I feel guilty I think it’s going to come down to flight times, and if I can swing a quick leave on Friday, come back Sunday night thing.
