Springtime is the Best Time- Flower & Garden, a taste of Dapper Days and Earth Day -April 2024

It's still Future World to me.
::yes::
Everyone still eats PB& Js but just not Uncrustables. I do have some in my freezer right now hoping the Grands will try them.
How could they not?
I always say Danielle is the combination of Michelle and Brent.
Should’ve named her Brichelle
If there is one thing Disney is consistent with on food is being inconsistent.
When you make it there, be sure to look closely.
I will!

We did something I haven't done in a long time. We took the Friendship boat from near Morocco back across. It was so nice to sit down. I think my age is starting to show.

I love that boat! I wish it had more stops cuz I'd take it all the time!

Uncrustables are Jimmy's go-to for days when he has a lacrosse game after school. They get right on the bus to head to wherever they're playing, so he throws a couple extras in his lunchbag and eats those after school to power up for his games. It makes me laugh because he, too, grew up eating them as a little guy, but they're still a favorite!

Danielle ate these like crazy when she was in school. I'm glad Jimmy has found the perfect use for them.

I haven't been back to Epcot since this statue was unveiled!! I won't get to see him until December finally, and I'm sure I'll cry, LOL. When the Disney 100 exhibit was in Chicago, they had a silver version of the partners statue at the end, and I bawled walking into that room to take a picture with him. Seems so silly, but he gave us the magic!!

It such a beautiful area. I hope you get to see it in December.

I've only ever eaten at Trattoria al Forno once, back in 2018 when they had the Bon Voyage breakfast with Price Eric and Ariel, Flynn and Rapunzel. The service was painfully slow and the breakfast was just OK. Your food all looked amazing for dinner!

We did that breakfast in May of 2017.

We had a great meal and a good experience. We enjoyed it so much we went back in January with Dennis and it ended up being one of our worst meals. The service was bad and the food was just ok. I guess it was just a bad night.
The first time we went the food and everything was great. Jeff and I went back on our last trip and it was just ok.

I'm glad to see the review of a Trattoria as we have thought about eating there before but never have. Isn't it crazy how someplace will be excellent one time and then blah the next? Like you said, guess it was a bad night.

It amazing how that happens. I hated that Dennis has a bad experience when we went in January, now he won't go again.

We really had the best meal that night. I don't think there is really any place we've been to that was just excellent every time, I also haven't had a place that was bad every time either.

Andi and I did the breakfast with the characters and loved it!
We have had dinner a few times and it has mostly been good but IL Mulino at The Dolphin is amazing and way better Italian food.
I’m getting excited to spend time at F&G again this year.

It was so nice to sit down. I think my age is starting to show.
No, with age comes wisdom and common sense. ;) You are working smarter not harder.
We do love this movie and the music. I think they light up at night but we didn't get a chance to see that.
Cool! I'd love to see that!
We were too late to get a free Uncrustable.
Did you know those are made right down the street from me in Scottsville, KY. I have had several patients that work in that plant. :)
Danielle and I rode together. She fell asleep in here too
:lmao:

I love these. F&G is my fave festival; I really need to get there again in the Spring.
Between the 2 of us we could not eat it all. We brought the pizza back with us but it ended up just sitting in the fridge until we left.
How to say the portions are too big without saying the portions are too big! Lower the prices and serve a reasonable portion!

That's been my experience there. VERY hit and miss. Some meals have been really great, others terrible! In fact, one of the worst pizzas I've had was there. Very inconsistent.
My goal before leaving was to experience Journey of Water at night. It is so pretty and a lot less crowded.
This is high on my list as well for October. Looks so pretty from photos!

Oh gosh, I was about to say that dinner sounds like it was a hit and maybe I should consider eating there this summer. But I guess their service is inconsistent. :confused3

The Walt statue is such a wonderful addition to Epcot. I'm so glad they added it.

Spaceship Earth is a top notch nap spot!

I can go with that.

I did not know that.

Yes you do!

How to say the portions are too big without saying the portions are too big! Lower the prices and serve a reasonable portion!

Amen!

That's been my experience there. VERY hit and miss. Some meals have been really great, others terrible! In fact, one of the worst pizzas I've had was there. Very inconsistent.

It's true for a lot of places.

This is high on my list as well for October. Looks so pretty from photos!

It's worth seeing in the daylight and at night.

I'm finding most places are hit and miss.

The Walt statue is such a wonderful addition to Epcot. I'm so glad they added it.

I am too.

Spaceship Earth is a top notch nap spot!
It is but I miss my favorite nap spot. I rode the Universe of Energy twice and could not tell you anything past the Jeopardy game with Ellen. I enjoyed my 45 minute naps.

Rope Drop is a Must- Studios - Saturday, April 20,2024

Before I get started I just wanted to give a shout out to Danielle. If you follow her on Instagram you've seen that she is in Epic Park today. She's there with her friend Sara who just finished training to work at Epic. She also still works for Disney. I've enjoyed the photos she has sent but I'm also a little jelly.

Moving along.

Today was our DHS day. This was Danielle's work location when we were there. The plan was to be there for Early Entry rope drop at 8:30 so we could hit Rise first. This was one of the 2 days we purchased Genie +. We had an ADR @ Oga's for 2:50 and a dinner ADR @ Mama Melrose's @ 6:40. We had a list of rides we wanted to ride and things we wanted to experience. Let's see how we did.

I was the first one up as usual since I take the longest to get ready. I don't know how people wake up and are out the door in 30 to 45 minutes. I just can't do that. I know it's going to take me longer so I plan ahead. I'm not naming any names but I also know people who take a long time to get ready but don't plan ahead so we're left waiting (Danielle). We purchased Genie + and at 7 am Danielle got our first LL for Slinky Dog but it was for much later in the day.

I'm also being Extra again today so be prepared for another bright outfit.

Today ended up being the only day of our trip we made Early Entry Rope Drop. I took this picture at 8:19 am.

1744851747321.png

As you can see the crowds are making their way to their preferred destinations. Ours was Rise so we headed that way, but we did not take the path most traveled. Danielle took us a different way. We cut down Commissary Lane. Look no crowds.
1744851888648.png

And I just shared a secret with you. Don't follow the crowds around Echo Lake.

We were in line by 8:26 am and pretty much keep walking.
1744851987010.png

We saw BB8 at 8:36 am.

1744852059103.png

I'm going to share another secret. When you're getting ready to leave this room hang back a little. You walk outside to the transporter from here. Try to enter towards the back so that you right besides the doors you just entered from. While all the excitement is going on the room is actually turning and those doors you entered from will actually be the same doors that open for you to leave the transporter. I'm sure there are lots of people who already know this but just incase there is someone out there who didn't know.

I have a blurry 1st ride photo, but hey it was our 1st ride of the day.

1744852338364.png

We had a great ride and did NOT get Mode B which seems rare for me. We were off the ride before the 9am official opening of the park. It was time for a little bit of food. Robin had never had a Ronto Roaster so we headed there. It was breakfast so we had the breakfast version-egg omelet, grilled pork sausage, shredded cheese, peppercorn sauce wrapped in a pita. It was good but I much prefer the lunch version. I don't think anyone of us finished our Roaster.

1744852863956.png

Our bellies full we headed to Toy Story Land to ride Toy Story Midway Mania. The area was not crowded at all yet. Stand by was listed at 25 minutes and we ended up waiting about that long. Robin and I rode together and Danielle rode alone. She prefers this and does better. She always outscores us. Her normal score is over 200k.

1744853110674.png

I think we had bathroom breaks and maybe some shopping because my next picture has us in Indian Jones Epic Stun Spectacular for the 10:30 show. I'm not the biggest fan of this show but I do like to see it every couple of trips. I do love the Indy movies and part of that might be because I really like Harrison Ford. Since Danielle started working in Studios she likes to see it. She was working at Backlot Express so they could hear the explosions going off and they always knew to get prepared for the crowds once the big explosion at the end of the show went off.

1744853467748.png

After Indy it was time for a caffeine break so we headed to the Trolley Car Cafe where I got a Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino and Danielle got a Strawberry Acai Lemonade Refresher. These were just what we needed to get some energy and to cool off.

1744853880941.png

After our caffeine break we headed down Sunset Blvd to see Beauty and the Beast Live. I was excited to see the new custumes and they did not disappoint. They were so vibrant.

Continued in next post.

While Gaston was having his big number the show all the sudden came to an end.

1744854807674.png

We were evacuated from the show due to a medical emergency down front. This was the first and only time this has ever happened to us.

1744854892044.png

It didn't look like something terrible was happening but I sure hope everyone was ok.

It was almost 1:30 and we were ready for some real food. We started looking around for something that appealed to us all. We passed Echo Lake and Danielle pointed out the ducks she was always watching over.

I'm going to stop here. Our lunch is going to be a wordy updated.

I used to do it in 5...
But I'm older now so it takes me 15 now.

Whoa! You weren't kidding!

I was fully expecting you to say: "But it broke down completely."
Robin had never had a Ronto Roaster so we headed there. It was breakfast so we had the breakfast version-egg omelet, grilled pork sausage, shredded cheese, peppercorn sauce wrapped in a pita. It was good but I much prefer the lunch version.
Hmmm...
I too love the ronto roaster, but... that doesn't look all that great.
Danielle rode alone. She prefers this and does better. She always outscores us. Her normal score is over 200k.
Interesting. Do you know why she prefers to ride alone? Distractions?

So you blended right in!

Oh dear. That's not good.
Like you, I hope everyone was okay.
Danielle pointed out the ducks she was always watching over.
Awww. :)

Wow it really is empty. Thanks for sharing.
I'm going to share another secret.
I’m going to have to make notes for future trips. Thanks again
1st ride of the day.

Love this photo. Happy smiley people!
I do love the Indy movies and part of that might be because I really like Harrison Ford.
Yup! I’m with you on this:goodvibes

You certainly got a lot done this morning. Seems like it was worth making it there early. Looking forward to seeing where you settled on for lunch.

I just adore spring and it's best for me to travel in spring. So I hope to go on a vacation with my husband soon.

I don't know how people wake up and are out the door in 30 to 45 minutes.
I am one of those that gets ready in 15 minutes and out the door. I don't wear makeup or really do my hair. It is either just down or in a ponytail. I like my sleep too much. However, when I am in Disney I do my hair and makeup so it takes me longer. I also have no problem waking up at 6 at Disney. At home I should be working at 7:30 (from home) and I roll out of bed around 8-8:30 and get to my computer (still in my PJ's). Thankfully work only cares that we make our meetings and work 40 hours so start time can be flexible.

I was checking her story all day.

Do you go there every trip? I know you enjoy it.

Not every trip, but we do try to get an Italian meal each trip so it's in the rotation. I'm going to miss it when it closes. :guilty:
I used to do it in 5...
But I'm older now so it takes me 15 now.

I sure hope brushing you teeth was included in that time.

So that's what happens. I didn't know. :)

It hard to tell. There is so much going on inside the room that is distracting.

Hmmm...
I too love the ronto roaster, but... that doesn't look all that great.

I know it didn't look good but it was, but not as good as the lunch version. I really like the sauce and need to remember to ask if you can get some more on the side.

Interesting. Do you know why she prefers to ride alone? Distractions?

She know the secrets and wants to make sure to hit them.

So you blended right in!
Yes I did.
