Later this month we'll be at SSR with 5 grandchildren [ages 1 to 6]. Which location has a better pool for the little ones? Taking all the factors into considrration, which location would be the best for the kids? Thanks

Countdown: 16 days can't wait !!!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2: :cool1::cool1:

I vote Springs- they have lots of activities for kids and a nice zero entry area and kiddie slide.

The Springs...definately!
Just got back w/ my 3 kids & took my parents along too. Considering the ages of your grandkids, the Springs has a playarea for the littlest ones and 2 slides for smaller & bigger ones in the same pool.

I agree with the Springs. They have a large water slide which my 7/5 year old handle fine. They also have a small water slide and a walk in area for the small children. Also, the Springs has a small play room area right off the pool with video games and coloring books.

I'll make a case for Grandstand

If the kids cant swim well, and you dont want to be in the pool the entire team WITH them...at teh grandstand there is a very large water play area, with all sorts of spouting water things.

My son loooooved it over there and found tons of kids to play with also. He was 3 at the time. We found the main pool not as fun at that age as he couldnt do the waterslide (too little and couldnt swim) and we didnt feel comfy letting him swim without us in it

Also, its the first stop on the bus.

Also thinking about staying at SSR...which of the two is closer to Downtown Disney? and what is the difference in walking there from both?

I am also going to say Grandstand..you can request Grandstand close to the pool..that way you are close to the pool, bus stop and just a very quick walk to the main pool and Carriage house. The Grandstand is also the first bus pick up and drop off..which with 5 young children getting a seat on the bus is more important than having a little walk to the pool. The pool there is nice, nothing special, but the sprayground is fun!!

Between the Springs and the Grandstand....The spring is closer to DTD...but the closest SSR community to downtown Disney is Congress Park....

What area of SSR do you think would safest for solo female? I was thinking of asking for a second floor room as well.
