So we are going to CBR on May 7th thru till the 13th when we move to SW till the 15th. I have a couple questions/concerns and was hoping you folks might be able to help.

1. Has anyone moved halfway thru your stay like this? We are not renting a car so what transportation service do you recommend from CBR to SW?

2. What is the actual proximity from Springhill Suites to the entrance of SW?

3. Is there a shuttle from Suites to SW if walking is not an option?

4. We are Hoping to arrive at Suites around 10-11am and head to SW right away. Do Suites hold your luggage for you until your room is ready?

5. What transportation service do you recommend from Suites to MCO on Saturday?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!!

If you're staying at the new Springhill Suites adjacent to the Fairfield Inn, it's right across the street from SW; however, it's not walking distance because of the way the park is situated. There was a free shuttle service when we stayed there in September. We got in later in the day, so I'm unsure about luggage storage; however, the staff was excellent and very helpful so I would imagine they would do what they could. Worth a phone call to be sure. Hope this helps.

A thought on transportation...you may want to check into a town car service for transport from WDW to SW and from SW to MCO. Depending on how many are traveling, it may be more economical than paying for a taxi.

I called the hotel. She said it's a 10 minute walk to the SW entrance. You have to cross International Drive, she doesn't recommend it if you have kids.

Shuttle is a couple trips in the am and a couple in the pm.

You can walk to Aquatica, I don't know if SW has a shuttle between SW and Aquatica.

You may want to consider another hotel. Given the age of your kids walking may not be doable and the shuttle isn't very good.

edited to add several posters mention a shuttle between SW, Aquatica and DC. That should work for you.

Thank you for the help. I hate to have to choose another hotel, we got such a great deal, 2 nights and SW admission for length of stay for $350.

The shape of SW, including the parking area, is a large rectangle. Springhill Suites is across the street from the very back right hand corner of the park. The entrance way into the park is towards the front left hand corner. You would have to cross International Drive (which should be OK since there is a traffic light at the intersection), and walk along Central FL Parkway (which does have walkways). You will get to the car entrance into the park (if you can enter through this entrance you may save some little walking time - but not sure if is it allowed or whether it would be safe or not). If you continue walking along Central FL Parkway past the car entrance, you will eventually get to SW's parking lot. You would then walk through most of the length of the parking lot to get to the park entrance. I would guess this walk would be about 20 minutes, but would vary depending on how fast you group would be walking. The walk from the hotel to the car entrance of the park would be 5-10 minutes.

There are some restaurants and shopping within walking distance of Springhill Suites.

There is a TGIFridays basically in the same parking lot as SpringHill Suites/Fairfield Inn.

Across the street (Central Florida Parkway - a very busy street) are a Denny's, Wendy's, and KFC. There might be one or two other small places, but IIRC that's about it for things in walking distance.
