I'm looking between these two hotels (I'm booking on points, for 5 people - 3 adults and 2 kids - so that really limited my choices as far as capacity).

We are not driving, as we are flying in from Western Canada, so I'm curious about shuttles for each.

These locations are operated by independent charter transport companies. Might require advance reservation .
I would call direct before booking to inquire.
Getting mixed results when I have searched .

Dont bother calling unless you want to speak to guest services while the rooster is crowing in the background.
Unbelievable but True …

Some days I think the world is crazy beyond reality .

I stayed at Townplace Suites Marriott Village which connects to the Springhill. Literally different sides of same building. I was just there the night we flew in, then transferred to Poly. I would not stay there without a car. it was a pretty pricey Uber to the WDW, like $30+. And there were mostly apartments and/or business buildings nearby. We did not see any walkable restaurants. The restaurant in hotel was good, but not for a lot of meals.

There are walkable restaurants but the roads there are extremely busy and not safe. One reason Uber would be higher is the traffic, time and difficulty in getting in/out of the village. It's not far from Disney Springs at all but doesn't get lots of love.

If those were my only choices I'd go with Flamingo Crossing. Just know your MCO to hotel costs will be a bit more than other places because of location. But it's a newer area so not congested, with new stores/dining walkable and just a quick ride to the Disney parks. No offsite hotel is going to have great shuttle service so I would seriously check out what they offer.

Thanks everyone!

I’ve opted for Flamingo Crossing, and I’ll just rent a car.

Shuttles are available but are often not great options because they cost time. I think you have to arrange a pick-up time in advance, and there are limits on how often/late/early they run.

I am not as familiar with the Marriott Village but have heard that area has a fair amount of traffic.

Flamingo Crossing is very new. It has multiple hotels with rooms for 5 people. You could also look into booking two rooms via the Marriott website for more options. FC is still being built. It currently has multiple dining options, with more to open in the coming months. How many options you'll have depends on the dates of your stay.

I think renting a car makes the most sense. Getting to the parks from FC is quick because there is little traffic, but it is still about 15 minutes to all of the Disney parks.

Flamingo Crossing has both a Target and a Walgreens that are now open. The Target is small, and has slightly higher prices than the other Targets in the area, but what they carry fits the location. It is a very convenient place to pick up a few groceries.

The Springhill Suites there is very nice. I'd happily stay there again.
