Did not know I was going to be fighting snow in April!

We are set to fly out on Sunday morning from Midland, Texas to SNA (stopping in Denver), but my flight has already been cancelled from Denver to SNA... United automatically Rebooked us on a later flight that doesn't get us there until 2:09pm and I'm worried about additional delays in Denver with the snow.

I was hoping to have some park time on Sunday! It is the only day Mickey's Soundsational will be running during out trip!

I'm on hold right now hoping that United will at least send us through Houston to avoid the risk of additional delays in Denver. That still only gets us there at 1:30pm

American has way more flights options. Have you ever heard of United booking people on American flights because of weather?

I've been stuck in Denver for many hours, and so avoid connecting there.
One major reason I tend to fly American rather than United. American uses DFW as a hub, so less likely to have weather issues.

Good luck, I hope weather and the airlines cooperate.

Yep... MAF has two american operators... and their DFW shuttle is known to have delays. Plus - some of the planes are nasty old US Airways planes. However - My parents flew in on American with no problems a few weeks ago on a very nice plane apparently.

I was excited about having Denver as an airport to connect in... but I'm learning my lesson! DFW gives more options I'm sure!

Thanks!

FWIW I've never had airline book me on an airline outside of their code-share system and United and American are not in a code-share system. This is a link to United's alliance members but I doubt you'll find an alternative airline that could help your situation. https://www.united.com/CMS/en-US/marketing/custcomm/promotions/Pages/AirlinePartners.aspx

When wondering what an airline has to do your go to doc is their contract of carriage. United's can be found here https://www.united.com/web/en-US/content/contract.aspx if you scroll down it's there in pdf form.
