Spring Professional Interns INFO

No I haven't but I am going crazy with curiosity! I have only received information on the Disney look and the check in. I would love to know where I will be working, what my schedule would be like, details on the training and more. I just can't wait!

I got a welcome to the program email telling me at the bottom the name of a person to contact if there were any further questions. I still haven't gotten any check-in info so I called her and she will be forwarding me the info soon. I suggest contacting professional recruiter listed at the end of the first email. If you didn't get one of those, private message me and i'll give you the name and number of the one they gave me. Good luck.

P.S. what does ZTA stand for? are you a Zeta? Just checking, I have some really good friends that are so I thought I would ask.

Yeah! I am a Zeta! I can not wait to meet everyone! Next semester is going to be great!

I did a PI this past semester (well, still doing.. my last day is Friday) and I'm doing a management internship this upcoming semester. It is very similar to your CP check-in (if you had one). Your check-in day at Vista Way can last anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour or 2, depending upon your status with the company. If you're a current up-to-date cast member (including campus rep), all you'll do it give them your name, check with housing (if you're living in northbridge.. i didnt, so i skipped that line), be approved by disney look people, and get your blue main entrance pass. I was done, litterally, in 10 minutes. You then need to head over to access control to get your new ID (still white, unfortunetly), and a housing meeting if you're living in northbridge, then the rest of the day is yours.

if you've never been a CM or haven't been kept up to date, it takes a bit longer. You have to fill out all of your hiring paperwork (W-2, Proof of Residency, etc), check-in with northbridge (if you're living there), talk with a disney look rep, get fingerprinted, and then get your packet. You'll have an orientation to the program and/or a housing meeting later in the day. chances are, you'll have traditions (the 4-hour disney orientation class) at disney university the next day (saturday) either 8-12ish or 1-5ish where you get your nametag and ID. Then you'll either start working on sunday or monday.. Usually sunday if you're working in the parks, or monday if you're an office and technical roles.

I hope that helps! You guys can PM me or IM me with any questions :)

I am a cast member already and have an ID. Will I have to get another white one? Also, do you know if we will have our schedules ready when we check in?

It's just south of Huntsville. We do get made fun of a lot for the name. Where are you working in celebration. I think my office might be there and I have a friend working in ticketing.

Oh okay. I believe I will be on the 2nd floor with the Disney Vacation Club. What about you?

Just to let you know, all professional interns check in at Vista Way but you are NOT going to be living there. That is reserved only for current College Program participants. Did you put your name into the Northbridge pool? Because otherwise, you are going to need to find a place to stay.

I am 99% sure this is a no exceptions policy.

Hopefully this does not freak you out too much but I just wanted to give you the heads up so you are not surprised on your first day there.

P.S. I did both a College Program and a Pro Intern so I know the check in processes for both.

Ohhhh okay I didn't know that thank you very much for the heads up. Well yeah I applied for housing so I guess where I go is fine with me. Again thanks!
