Spring Musicals.

what were you in Annie???? and congrats on making everything you've tried out for!

That's actually the show I'm in right now. I am the apple seller, with like three lines. Also a part of the Hooverville/NYC ensemble so I am in those two numbers as well.

And thanks! :goodvibes

I saw that one this year, it was an out of school company, but they had a full age range and it was EPIC

and the high school I would be going to did anie last year, it was great as well

so what show's have you all been in???

Elementary school:
Moose on the Loose (Gosling #1)
some Space Mice one.. don't remember what it was called.
Pirates of Penzance (Mabel)
Um.. I'm sure there were more I don't remember.

Middle School:
Seussical (sp?) (Jojo the Who)
Hello Dolly (Mrs. Rose)

High School:
The Music Man (Gracie Shinn)

Outside of school:
Some thing about an artichoke that wanted to be eaten (I was teh artichoke) at GT Outdoor Lab
Some thingy about tolerance at a summer camp (I was a construction worker.. and I had to be silent. REALLY tough for me lol)
This one Christmas play at church (I was Tomorra or something, the angel of the future)
And more I can't remember.

That's all I can remember. I had a blast in middle school and am really enjoying Music Man although there's only been 2 1/2 rehersals so far. :goodvibes

Yes they did. It seemed as if they picked the classes just for that musical. The grades are split into two sections (A and B) The B section that year was just loaded with singers, although we did have a really good actor in our grade musical that year (I was in the A section, which means we do our musical first) To me it was good, but I'm not sure how it stacked up to the real thing since I hadn't seen it. It was really long too, like over two hours (that's long for a middle school musical which usually runs an hour and a half).

We just have an awesome elementary music teacher. She is really really awesome. She does little performances (like choir performances) every fall and spring for the elementary kids too.

i saw the touring cast of les misirables a few years back and with the 15 min. intermission it ran close to 3 1/2 hours, it's a loooooong show! our three musicals where pretty easy: Wizard of Oz, Oklahoma!, and Pirates of Penzance(well that was a little bit of a stretch.). in our schools history we've never done anything as deep as Les mis.

OMJ i was mabel too!!!! you did PoP in Elementary school????

Nice! What part are you?

Miss Hanigan!

me and my friend have both been with the company for 6+ years. we were the only two in the call back. the weren't sure who to give Lily and who to give hanigan, so they had us sing, read and dance for each part then told us together that we got the parts. i didn't even need to wait for a call! :)

Omg that is so cool! That would be such a fun role to play! If only my singing voice was a bit lower I would so have gone for that role!!!

i'm normally a rly high soprano, but over the years i've strengthened my belting voice and stretched my range

Ya I've sorta been doing the same. I got a call back for the star-to-be too, which is a total belting song so I had to work on that super quick.

so while lying in bed last night i came up with a list of shows i've done:
Oklahoma(ado annie)
Pirates of Penzance(mable)
Annie(molly)
different Annie(miss hanigan)
peter pan(lost boy)
Godspell (by My Side soloist)
Hairspray( dancer)
Disney! on the record (maddison)
cinderella(dancer)
Madeline's Christmas (like the children's story book) (madeline)
oliver(orphan/ pick pocket)
wizard of oz (singing crow/ munchkin)
Mulan (yun- an ansestor, narrated the show)
excalibur (soloist, townsperson)
Footloose (sarah warnicer [sp])

then i did two off broadway productions:
honk(fluff)
Christmas carol: the musical (martha cratchit, babydoll dancer, caroler, ballroom dancer and fan u/s)

i feel like im forgetting some... this is off the top of my head

Our rehersals for The Music Man are going fabulously! :thumbsup2
It's only been, like, a week and a half but I'm having lots of fun! The music's really cool where we're doing harmony and I've worked on my high voice.
All of the cast members are amazing!
Oh-- and my pals Mirands, Alex and I all got solos in Wells Fargo Wagon! :goodvibes
