Spring Cleaning is an Oxymoron

I have been cleaning all day and nothing is actually clean. I have cleaned out closets packing away clothes that don't fit the kids but not one room is actually clean. As far as Sping goes, well the weather is less than spring like. I think Spring cleaning is something made up by the cleaning supply companies or card companies!!! Anyway- this is my revelation for the day. Profound isn't it?

I did the same thing this weekend and wondered the same thing as well. In no way is closet organizing any kind of cleaning. It just makes the room its in a bigger mess. But isn't it so nice when the closets are so clean and neat? I always want to leave the closet doors open after it's done.

We have spring weather here, and I think that is what motivates me tro get up and get cleaning! The sunshine and open windows make me want to get things in order.

We are redoing our kitchen, so everything is dusty and it is getting all over the house,regardless of how I try to contain it.

I will be doing "summer cleaning" once this event is done.

Last week had some torrential rain which gave us some water in our basement for the first time since we have owned the house,, so I did get rid of a little bit of stuff then that got wet. Mr.Packrat couldn't argue.

Spring cleaning here too!! and getting ready for a yard sale! I love it, DD has to go thru her closet and toys too and I go thru all DS's stuff. DH usually cleans out the garage and I do the kitchen and our room.

I am right there with you doing a lot of the same things! The laundry keeps expanding and the dust bunnies are multiplying. And then I made the mistake of walking around the yard today and seeing ALL the work that needs to be done out there - and dh is *not* an outside kinda guy so that all falls on me too..
