What are you doing (or did you do) during your kids' spring break. DS10's starts as soon as he gets off the bus today.

Nothing

but our kids don't have a spring break

Next year we will be in a new school and DS13 is going to CHINA for spring break with his band, I am HOPING to chaperone that trip!

My DS10's was a couple of week's ago.

His birthday party was on that first weekend,so that kept us busy that weekend. His best friend ended up spending 6 nights of the vacation with us(we broke it up in the middle though). In some ways this was great, but then I had to take care of 2 of them, when I am use to only the one, but they kept each other busy.

They were allowed some TV, rental movies and videogames, but they had to equal the time spent inside with playing outside. They scootered, played with water guns/sprinklers, played football and basketball. We didn't go away or do anything special. I did give my DS10 one day of shopping, with a limited dollar amount towards the end of vacation, for helping me get some stuff done (when his friend wasn'there).

I got him to swim one day, but the pool was still a little cool for him(it's not heated), so he only spent maybe 30 minutes in there.

Evil Queen ~ I was thinking about taking DS to the Palm Beach Zoo one day. Haven't been there in years. Have you been there since they added the restaurant? I was wondering how it is.

I am saving my vacation days for our trip this summer, so I brought the poor little guy to work with me and he played on my computer. He's in Kindergarten, and never again! Next year we'll go somewhere!

I felt so bad that during lunch yesterday I took him to Wallyworld and we bought a new baseball & bat, an airplane, a new soccer ball and a flying disc thing and we're going to play outside all weekend!

I'd defintely do something fun, the zoo or the park, whatever, anything!

Nothing--they were off this week and my vacation is not until the week after Easter. The price I pay for not living where I teach. Oh well. They were a big help to Grandma and Grandpa for 4 days--then today I took a personal day, took one for a haircut and one to the eye doctor, and promptly dropped the younger two off at MIL's for the night. The oldest (14) is still here but is negotiating a movie night with her best friend on the phone right now.
DD#2 is having her BDay party on Sunday (she turns 11 on the 11th) . My goal for my own vacation is to go through their rooms and pitch bunches of things--the way DS is growing he'll need a new summer wardrobe.

DD12 had spring break two weeks ago. We spent the week at WDW!!

My kids start spring break today. I plan to spend alot of time outside (if the weather is nice) with them , Rollerskating, Basketball and baseball and walks on the park trails.
Then in a couple weeks, suprise them with a trip to WDW!!!

We haven't been in YEARS!! Was thinking about a trip there soon or to Lion Country Safari. Sounds like fun,I know they have done so much more to though.

Our break is April 12, 13, 14, and 17. DH is staying home with the kids the first 2 days and I'm staying home the last 2 days.

We're hoping DH doesn't line up some work for the days I'm home so we can do things together as a family.

We don't get spring break here. The kids get off next Thurday, Friday, and Monday. That isn't long enough to do anything. When I was growing up we got 2 weeks off and many took their family vacations. Not anymore around here!

12 days in Maui! :woohoo: We have an extended group of 27 family & friends going. Rain, rain, stay away. :sunny:
