Spring break trip; which resort?

Wow! So I watched a video of the Riviera deluxe studio and the resort. So nice! Those are pretty big!

Yep, we were very comfortable as a family of 5 and felt like the room was spacious even with all the beds pulled down, but that was 2 adults, 3 kids. It would be cozier for sure with 5 adults but definitely an improvement over other studio villas.

No way I would do 5 adults in a single room. I know I need my own space and privacy at times, especially when traveling with people that aren't in my immediate family. Two rooms to spread out, along with two full bathrooms to get ready faster in the morning, would definitely be my choice. Plus, everyone always has lots of "stuff" between luggage, clothes, shoes, toiletry bags, towels, etc etc - so there would be more storage between two rooms as well.

I have to agree with PPs. Five adults in one studio or regular hotel room does not sound like a fun trip to me. Get 2 rooms at CSR. You won't regret having the extra space.

Coronado looks nice. But there would be 2 people in 1 room, seems like such a waste. Are the benefits of staying at 1 of the deluxe resorts worth maybe 5 people in 1 room, plus to be able to walk, take a monorail or the sky liner to one of the parks is awesome. If some one is in the shower, isn't there public restrooms/ I'd almost wear an adult diaper if it becomes an issue.
It sounds like you have already made up your mind. If that is what you want, do it.
I think you will find most people would encourage the 2 rooms (I am one of them). But, the heart wants what the heart wants.
Also, I wouldn't discount DVC rentals. A lot of people, including many DVC owners, had really bad experiences this past year. There are threads on the DVC boards that go on forever with owners horror stories. There was no good scenario for everyone this past year.
I would also encourage you to check the park reservation availability. There are some that are filling up for March/April. You can check without buying tickets on the WDW page.
My two cents on staying; for 5, I would stay at a 1 bdrm at BLT. They are spacious and have two full bathrooms. I would also consider a family suite at AoA. They have the skyliner and 2 bathrooms also.

We've stayed 5 in a moderate - legally = trundle - and it is tight, with bathroom usage at a premium.

Nice to hear you get something for the premium. Pics look amazing.

Don't forget that since the room only allows for two adults, any extra adult, (over 18) will be charged an extra fee. But not for the 16 yr old.

Planning a Disney trip; its my sister, 23 year old niece, my 21 year old daughter, my 16 year old son and myself. We are from Minnesota, living thru a polar vortex right now; it is cold! We love all the parks! We are interested in these 3. Riviera standard deluxe studio, Contemporary tower lake view, or Grand Floridian garden view. The other option would be 2 standard rooms at Coronado springs. Coronado Springs would be cheaper. We will have a car. My sister is an amputee and uses a prosthetic. I do believe she may end up in her wheelchair by end of trip. The site gets easily irritated from walking in hot temps. We will probably do park hoppers. Looking for a hotel that has good wifi as it is not my daughters spring break from college. We are also interested in a place that has good food options. Any insight into these resorts. Our favorites are Disney Yacht/beach club and Polynesian. Poly is too expensive and Beach/yacht club not available. Never stayed at any of the resorts listed above. Thank you.
No question GF is my favorite. Great places to eat. Nice spa. On monorail. Great pools. Nice places to sit outside and enjoy the wonderful weather. (NO polar vortex!!) You may sit and watch the water parade in the evenings and if they bring fireworks back you will have great views of the MK. You are also in close proximity to the Poly for additional food choices. That said, my significant other loves the CR best. We have not stayed at the Riviera yet so I can't speak to that resort.

GF is beautiful! Never stayed there but we've eaten at 1900 Park Fare. If they could get the monorail running to Epcot too, this would be the one. I do like the idea of having the daybed vs the little popdown kiddie bed in the studios.

So I was reading through the boards and I did read a comment that Riviera and Coronado have very good coffee and nice coffee shops. I think since we have a car and I don't want us to all hate each other by the end of the trip, I am leaning more towards Coronado Springs and getting 2 rooms. They do have a 'transfer to shower" handicap assessable room for my sister. I think it looks like a deluxe and it does seem to have very good reviews. Thank you for every ones input. Stay safe and well!

I love BLT lake view but the studios are some of the smallest on property. So if you don’t want to be super-super tight than that might not be the best option. GF is beautiful and you can now walk to MK from there but you’d always need to take an elevator to get to and from monorail station if one of you has to use a wheelchair so that might slow things down a little. Idk how GF elevators have been since covid.

honestly, if you are good with tight space I’d go BLT lake view and ask for highest room possible. We had a room a studio on the 15 or 16 floor and the view was amazing! We never waited long for an elevator and it was such an easy walk to MK and I like that BLT is connected to main hotel by the bridge that has amazing views of MK

We are a family of 5... we make any room work, but I can attest to 1 bathroom being a problem at times. Getting ready for dinner, if two people have to poop... lol. It's just not a lot of space, and we are totally focused on $$$ over creature comforts. The other thing to consider is schedules. If you have a late sleeper, you may have a folded out bed and a cot or something in the room, it will be slam full with grown ups and their luggage.

I would check out the size and beds in the Riviera studios. I heard they’re small.
I would stay at GF, their rooms have 2 queesns + daybed for the boy.
Or 2 rooms at a moderate. Have the reservations connected as traveling together. You may want a ground floor in the moderate for accessibility.
